If you are having problem with the printer, or get your printer on, do the following:
Check all connections first if necesary replace the cables and try again. If still not working do this:
1) Uninstall the printer, 2) Delete all the printer folders created during the last installation. 3) In the computer registry (start >> run >> regedit.exe) Delete all printer paths 4) Reboot your computer 5) Re-install the printer again.
This will fix your problem.
Go out to Lexmark web site and look for a vista update in their software download section. So this should solve your problem.Most of the cds which come with equipment do not contain vista software and drivers.
ooops... that's the problem with vista they tend to have a lot of driver incompatibility. please check your support CD for your printer if it can support vista. otherwise download updated driver for vista OS. my experience with vista is i also lost the right driver for my Asus CDR and Samsung DVDRW when it was perfectly runing on XP2.
