Ciaran I INSTALLED THHE STEREO, BYPASSING THE FACTORY AMP IN A 96 CHRY SEBRING LXI. VERY HARD TO GET ANYTHING TO PLAY, AND IF YOU DO YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT IT WILL BE. 1) THERE IS NO VISIBLE DISPLAY ON THE FRONT FACE, EXCEPT FOR THE RED OUTLINES GLOWING AROUND THE BUTONS. BUT THE BIGGEST PART IS: 2) WHENEVER YOU DO GET SOUND FROM A CD YOU HAVE JUST INSERTED, ANY TIME YOU TRY AND TURN THE VOLUME KNOB, IT MAY INCREASE OR DECREAS VOL IF YOU SPIN IT VERY FAST, OTHERWISE IT WILL CHANG YOUR CD TRACKS UP OR DOWN, SWITCH YOUR RADIO STATION TO DIFFRENT CHANNELS. THE FWD CD OR FWD SEEK BUTTON WILL USUALLY FUNCTION---THE BACKWARD SEEK OR CD TRACK BACK BUTTON NEVER HAS WORKED...THIS IS THE 2ND FACE I HAVE TRIED....HELP ME....WHAT CAN I DO???? Did you install the unit with the correct wiring harness, or cut-and-splice the wires from the factory line to the stereo lines? This could be a problem.

My JVC TH-G30 gives me a locked message when I try to open the load tray what should I do?

hello Setting the disc ejection lock
You can lock the disc tray to prevent the disc form
being ejected.
When the main unit is turned off, hold down the STOP
key at the front panel for 5 seconds
If you attempt to open the disc tray by pressing
OPEN/CLOSE key, the disc tray does not open and
“LOCKED” appears in the display window.
To cancel the disc ejection lock, hold down the STOP
key at the front panel for 5 seconds again when the
main unit is turned off.
“UNLOCKED” is displayed in the display window.
Note:
Before the main unit is turned off, DVD/CD function
should be selected.

Open/close doesn't work

When you press Eject CD button, do you see CD display blinks as if its preparing to be ejected? If its true then eject switch is working and cd mechanism is stuck, requires service. Also check loading belt in mechanism.
And if unit shows no response on pressing CD Eject button then switch is bad, replace it.

CD/DVD drive stuck CLOSED and NO pin hole

Use my computer and select the drive (eg drive E:). From pull down menu "File" select "eject". While the disk door attempts to open (hear slight movement of tray) massage the door with your fingers. This is done by smoothing out the across front door panel with your finger tips and pushing in and releasing pressure from door. Door should slide open partially and close again. Repeat. The eject button nearside the disc tray doesn't seem to work as well as selecting "File" and "Eject" from the menu. Something to do with the door cycle is less with the direct eject button.

CD drawer will not open

Try manually opening the drawer. There's a little hole on the front, Insert a pin or bent paper clip in the hole with the machine "on". Should open for you.

Locked dvd tray.

To unlock, manually press and HOLD the open/close button & the stop button simultaneously, and HOLD them both down until the lock picture disappears.   The DVD will eject when you press the open/close button.

To lock the DVD inside the machine, repeat the same step, and it will lock it inside.
