E-125 connection problem HEEELP!!

posted by vega - usenet poster on Sep 06, 2005

I've been using a Cassopeia E-125 for almost 3 years without any problem. Suddently last week I couldn't access the "Add/Remove Programs" in ActiveSync, getting a message that my device is not connected (it still synced ok, though). After several attempts it worked just once, and then it kept failing. I updated ActiveSync, and then it wouldn't even sync. I tried on a different desktop, with different windows versions (98 and 2000), different cable (serial vs USB) and doing a hardware reset. Allways the same: It plays the "connecting" sound, displays the "connecting" window (so does ActiveSync) and after a ouple of seconds the "disconnecting" sound. When I try the "Get Connected" option in ActiveSync it says my device is not connected. I am starting to think it is a hardware problem.

Any ideas? The service in Casio's representative in Greece is more oriented in Casio watches (and they are not too good in this either), so I don't think I can expect serious help from there.
