Has a button been pressed to allow it to control another device? (most newer remotes have the option of controlling other things like DVD players Ect. if your remote has a "TV" button, press that first then try to control your TV.)
to check your remote is still transmitting a signal, simply hold a digital camera or camera-phone in front of it.... if you see the light on the front flashing, it works. (you won\'t see the light with the naked eye, but a camera will see the infrared light)
The flashing blue light shows that the TV is receiving I.R. from the remote but doesn't mean that the signal being received is recognized by the Samsung. If you have a "universal" remote then your TV code may need to be re-entered/reprogrammed...changing batteries in a "universal" will usually require it to be reprogrammed.
Also...because of the remotes construction (rubber membranes with carbon dots that short across PC traces) I've seen certain buttons stop working altogether.
Turn the TV on, on the remote, press and hold SET-UP until the light blinks twice, then release, enter 9-9-1, the TV key will blink twice, aim the remote at the TV and press and hold POWER and TV slowly alternating from one to the other, stop when the TV turns off, press SET-UP the TV key will blink twice....hope this was helpful...
Hold down select and the red button together for about two seconds, until the red light on the Sky remote control blinks twice.
Press tv on your Sky remote control again.
Key in the code 0157. The light on the Sky
remote control blinks twice. If the light blinks once only, recheck the
code you entered and start again at Step 1.
Press the standby button on your Sky remote control. If your TV switches off, press select. The light on the Sky remote control blinks twice (code stored). If your TV does not switch off, press tv, then press the standby button. Repeat this (press tv, then standby) until your TV turns off, then press select (stores code).
