Switches need to configuration. For a hundred PCs you can get away with settingthe DHCP pool for it, although ideally you want to set up multiple subnets.

Somewhere in your settings you will be able to configure router security.
Yes, in order to do this you would simply have to create a Layer 3 switch, if you are unfamiliar how to do this, click here
Note* if you are not Cisco certified, not experienced in configuring switches and routers from within the operating system, or do not have the necessary equipment or software, it is not recommended you attempt this, as it may cause permanent damage to your switch if the improper commands are entered and configured on the switch.
If you are unsure or do not feel comfortable creating a Layer 3 switch, have someone you know who is Cisco certified or a computer repair shop configure this for you.

Physical Setup of a LinkSys Router
Each model of LinkSys router will differ slightly, but the general design is similar across all models. Therefore, the setup is similar across all models.
Attach the antennas to the router (if your LinkSys router support wireless)d
Plug the Ethernetcable from your broadband Internet provider into the port labeled "Internet"
Plug another Ethernet cable into one of the available ports
Plug the other end of that same cable into an Ethernet port on your PC
LinkSys Router Configuration
LinkSys routers now ship with a Setup Wizard which is intended to simplfy basic configuration tasks.
We do not recommend the LinkSys Setup Wizard for two reasons:
The Setup Wizard is not significantly easier that the regular configuration menus
If you use the Setup Wizard, you will end up learning two interfaces for your LikSys router instead of just one
Instead, we recommend simply starting your web browser and jumping into the configuration.
Once your web browser is open, go to the URL http://192.168.1.1/. This will take you to a popup box which asks you to enter a username and password. Logging in to a LinkSys Router
The username is either blank or "admin" and the default password is "admin".
Once you are past the login screen, you are able to access (and change) a plethora of configuration options for your router.
Don't be worried by the enormous number and variety of options, your LinkSys router ships with default settings that enable it to work right out of the box in most environments.
From here the configuration options that you choose are largely up to your own personal preference.
If this is a wireless router, we recommend that you consider setting an SSID to identify the router as your own and configuring WEP to encrypt your wireless traffic.

To configure your router to share your Internet service, please follow the steps below:
1. Check with your Internet Service Provider to make sure that service is active. You usually can determine a good link to the service if you can bypass the BEFW11S4, plug directly into the ISP modem unit, and get a good connection.
2. While plugged into your provider?s modem and able to get online, run the bundled Router Setup Wizard CD-ROM program that came with your router. This will configure the router automatically for you.
3. If the Setup Wizard CD-ROM from Step 2 fails to configure your router, you may need a manual configuration. While plugged into the provider modem unit and able to get online (Step 1), visit http://kb.linksys.com, and search for the name of your Internet service provider for detailed instructions on manual configurations.
4. Once one computer is able to access the Internet through the router, the router will then be configured. Other machines can now connect to the router without re-configuring it a second time.
5. If you are still having difficulties setting up your router, please contact Linksys Technical Support so that we may further assist you.
