Re: My LCD moniter is getting warm

The light that illuminates the LCD monitor can get hot. To cool it down, close the LCD monitor and turn off the camcorder.

Lcd screen reads

Either the dew sensor is defective or there is some condensation inside the unit. Try opening up the unit and pointing a hair dryer at it from about 12" away (enough to blow warm air inside the unit, not hot air). Let that run for about 10-15 minutes and try the unit again. If it continues to fail, than the dew sensor needs to be replaced. This repair shoold be done by a repair shop as cameras are not the easiest to work on.

Everthing seems to work, except the camera will not record.

Assume you have Sony DCR-HC20 camcorder and it does not show you live view to record, I hope camcorder is playing back old recorded tapes perfectly with good quality picture on its LCD.
If it is true then your camcorder has ccd imager chip failure and ccd imager needs to be replace to get live view in LCD monitor.
Qualified camera tech will replace ccd imager chip.
Thanks.

I have a GR-D53EK but cannot see a picture

if it's changing when you move the LC it's propably that responsable is the flex wire connecting LCD with camcorder. I bought it in the repair shop and did it by miself. save a lot of money.
Good luck

Replacing LCD monitor on JVC Camcorder

Ya, i have taken apart a camcorder. The screen is hooked with a ribbon cable that can be unplugged. So you could probably do it yourself. Just keep track of all the little screws etc.

How do I clean the camera?

Gently wipe any glass surface on your camcorder with a soft, lint-free cloth. Wipe the LCD monitor in a semicircle to avoid spreading a stain. Check the edges of the lens for loose particles. Caution: Do not touch the lens with your fingers. The oil from your skin can damage the lens.

The icons are not clear.

This may occur when the surface or the edge of the LCD monitor is pressed.
