Question about Epson ACULASER CX11NF All-In-One Printer

Epson Aculaser CX11NF

We can't do stand alone copies. When we push "start" (either B&W or Color), screen says "copying" and data light flashes, but nothing happens. Can't cancel either. Problem occurs whether we put doc in feeder or place on flatbed glass. Help!

Reset all possible menus, however when I hold down the reset button for a period as advised in the manual, it does not go into reset mode.

Did all possible menu resets, however when I held reset button down for a period as advised in the manual, it would not go into reset mode.
    Copy problem still exists.

So far, so good - thank you!
But the problem was intermittent, so a few more copy attempts to know it's fixed!

Its not the problem of reset.i m having the same problem with my canon mpc 400 printer.i my self tried to repair it by the reset method.nothing happens.the company service service person told it was a scanner problem.i replaced the scanner unit which is copying my documents.and then it started working properly for two months.but after that same problem appared .the company does not give any garantee for this scanner units.just replace your epson printer and get the hp printer.in hp the problems like that are very cheaply solved.hence changing the scanner unit in your printer will definately help.it will be costly near about
50$.but i will not advise that.

pls do rate the solution

thanks.

Hi, don't know if you've sorted this but there is an interlock on the left hand side of the machine where you put the cartridges in. If you put a screwdriver in and push up, you can rotate the carousel manually, then you'll be able to remove the cartridge.remove tat and check it oput..the pro may cause due to fault in the flow of cartridges and also contact between cartridfe and roller

Is the Aculaser connected to a computer while doing a standalone copy ?

Disconnect the Aculaser from anything it is connected (except the power source) then powercycle it (OFF & ON)

Epson ACULASER CX11NF we have to replace the PCU every 3 months,

The photoconductor (PCU) is used whenever you print anything. They should last between 10,000 copies (colour) and 20,000 copies (black only), so roughly 15,000 pages. If yours is going through them quicker it could indicate that there is a problem, try giving Epson Customer support a call and ask for advice.

ACULASER CX11NF Photoconductor reset - chip?

The reset chip will not provide you with a long term solution to your problem. The photoconductor unit is now full of waste toner and the photoconductive drum, prime charge roller and wiper blade are all worn, this is the cause of the message. Your only real and the correct solution is to replace the Photoconductor unit with a new one. Remember that this is part of the consumable set for this printer and is therefor costed in as part of the cost per page.
Should you proceed with the replacement chip, you will be opening yourself to deminishing quality print and eventual failure of the unit.

Turn off printer and unplug it from power supply.
Check ADF if it appears to be damaged ( open the top portion so that you can check the mechanisms ) unplug the ADF cable from back of scanner and replug it, replug power cable, turn it on and try scanning using adf again.

I had this problem. Try unplugging any usb connection to the computer, turn off, then turn on and then try a stand alone copy. It was my USB connection to the computer which had locked up the copier.
After this it was fine.
