Question about HP LaserJet 4 plus Printer
My printer HP 4M is not printing, after giving command of printing to the Printer the for printing and is showing 51 ERROR on its display and paper comes out with few black patch lines.
The error is a loss of laser beam detect error. Your problem is the laser scanner has burned out. The replacement is easy to accomplish. You simply have to remove the full top cover (3 screws and 1 clip near front right corner). You'll need to remove the side cover first. Once the covers are removed, look for a large black box (about 4" x 6") held in place by 4 screws. The part is available from Dale at Seattle Platen, 1-800-221-2388. Ask for a refurbished on exchange.
Hope that helps you.
