Question about Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

Hi, I have an Epson Stylus 4000 printer at home. I had no problem printing high quality prints untill now. I thought that my nozzles were clogged (I haven't use it to print for a several months), so I performed deep cleaning, head alignment twice and although there are no error massages flashing any more, when I print the check pattern, every color is clean except the Mate Black. On the pattern test print this color looks like it's almost checkered, symmetrical pattern mostly black but with a slivers of wight between. Also when I print a photo that has a lot of black areas in it, the black is not solid, but I can see a vertical lines, where the color is not totally black. Anyone can help? thanks, Renata

Printer will scan but doesn't print all colors when printing

Hi Donald,
  • First, make sure you're printing on original Epson cartridges.
  • If the ink cartridges are old, replace them.
  • Select BEST as the quality setting.
  • For the best print qualities, use the Epson special papers which are highly designed for the best prints.
  • Make sure you load one paper at a time.
  • You may also need to do a print head cleaning on the printer to unclog the nozzles and enable smooth ink delivery.
  • Check whether the printhead needs cleaning by,
  • Turn on the printer.
  • Load a letter size paper that is plain.
  • Press setup.
  • Then press the< or > to select maintainance.
  • Press OK.
  • On the highlighted NOZZLE CHECK option, press OK.
Hope this helps.Thanks!

Epson stylus pro 4000 i have a clogged nozzle cant move it other 7 are fine

Inkjet printers needto be used frequently to prevent ink drying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, thenprint head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

My epsonstylus photo rx620 images lack dynamic when copying or printing. i don't know why?

hi there...
most of the time that happens because the nozzles of your printer are clogged by dried inks, to check that, print a nozzle check, if you see gaps or breaks, do head cleaning untill the pattern becomes perfect.
pls click on the link, to get the instructions on how to to do both.
look for improving the print quality:

pls come back and give me a vote. I would really appreciate that, thanks in advance. good luck.

Why the epson stylus C86 dont print nothing?it makes noise like its print but on the paper nothing

***hi there,il be willing to help you on that. ****
the nozzles of the printer might be clogged by dried inks thats why when your printing, its feeding the paper, as if its printing but no inks on the paper. print a nozzle check to see which part or color have clogs, if there are gaps or breaks, do head cleaning untill no more gaps then try printing.
Running a Printer Check
You can run a printer check to determine whether a problem comes from the printer itself or some other source.
1. Make sure both the printer and computer are turned off. Then disconnect the interface cable from the printer.
2. Make sure letter-size plain paper is loaded in the printer.
3. Hold down the paper button, then press and release the power button. Continue holding down the paper button until the green power light starts to flash, then release it.
If your printouts are unexpectedly light, or dots or lines are missing, you may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if quality declines.
You can also clean the print head by holding down the ink button on the printer for three seconds. (This only works when the red ink light is off.)
Caution: When you don’t turn on your printer for a long time, print quality can decline, so turn it on and print a few pages at least once a month to maintain good print quality.
***if my troubleshooting steps are helpful, pls vote for me, i will appreciate it, so that I can be a part of fixya, thanks, Godbless****

PLSE HELP IM TRYING TO PRINT BUT NOTHINGS HAPPENING, IT IS ALL SET UP

test the printer first, so that we can isolate the issue. print a nozzle check to eliminate the possibility that the nozzles are clogged by dried inks. if nozzle check prints blank page or it printedr but w/ gaps or breaks, do head cleaning

Check the Print Head Nozzles: 1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Turn off the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series. 3. Hold down the cx4400_ug.1.79.1.jpg Stop button as you press the cx4400_ug.1.79.2.jpg On button to turn the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series back on. Hold down both buttons until the cx4400_ug.1.79.3.jpg On light begins to flash, then release the buttons. cx4400_ug.1.79.4.jpg 4. Check the nozzle check pattern that prints to see if there are gaps in the lines. cx4400_ug.1.79.5.jpg 5. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean and you can continue printing. If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, clean the print head. Clean the Print Head Nozzles: 1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Hold down the cx4400_ug.1.80.1.jpg Stop button for at least 4 seconds to start the cleaning cycle, which lasts around 1 minute. cx4400_ug.1.80.2.jpg The cx4400_ug.1.80.3.jpg On light flashes throughout the cleaning cycle and stays on green when the cycle is finished. Caution:
Never turn off the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series during a cleaning cycle or you may damage it. 3. Run a nozzle check to confirm that the print head is clean. You may need to clean the print head up to 2 times. You can also turn the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series off and wait at least 6 hours. Then try printing again.
