My washing manchine won't fill with water, it just squits water and stops when you open the lid. It squits about 5 - 10 times then starts to beep as if to say it's finished washing. i though that the hose might be blocked but I checked and it's not, I even unscrewed the top bit of the manchine but couldn't figure out why it won't fill with water.
it sounds like a faulty water valve, one way to check that is to connect the hot water hose to the cold tap and select hot water not cold and see if it fills if it does than it is the cold water valve faulty

usually a broken lid switch if it fills with water and then nothing, set the timer on spin and pull out the timer, open the lid and stick a screw driver into the hole where the plastic acuator on the lid goes into the hole and push down easily and see if washer will run this is where the lid switch is and it's only a safety switch so when the lid is open the washer won't run,if not push up and down on the switch and listen for a clicking sound,no click switch is bad part number 285671,watch video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag1eT5PrMnE
From the closed position lift the lid of the washer about 2'' and listen for a distinct click. Then set lid back down and should hear another click just before it closes. The wire form hinge on left side of lid actuates the lid switch. Is it broken? Let me know.
see this causes and fix it. God bless you Door or Lid Latch Assembly
If the washer lid won't lock the lid switch
assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid
switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any
electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches
should have continuity according to their design.
Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly
If the washer door won't lock the door lock
assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically
or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter.
The switches should have continuity according to their design.
Main Control Board
If the washer door won't unlock the problem
might be the main control board. This is not common. Normally the
problem is with the lock mechanism.
where the hoses go into the machines you will notice those valves are controled by solnoid switch thats what starts and stops water flow as you turn selector knob you should hear them click if that turn off water supply remove hoses from back of machine check if filter screen is in place and that there is no trash keeping valve open p.s switch from hot and cold to see which one needs to be replaced or repaired
Please be carful as running the agitator without enough water will overheat and kick out the motor, however it should be ok when it resets itself.
Yes, the machine should stop agitating when you lift the lid so this too is part of the problem.
After looking at the print I can only suggest that the cam contacts in the timer ( contacts 12 and 14) that start the motor are burned and stuck together.
