How can I find a Bluetooth Passcode?

<p>Bluetooth is a quick and easy way to wirelessly connect two electronic devices. Bluetooth is commonly used for mobile phones and PDAs to hands-free devices like headsets and hands free connection, but can also be used to connect these devices to computers and MP3 players. Two Bluetooth devices, you need the password, or "pairing code" to find the equipment to connect. Finding it is generally very...<br /> <p> <br /> <p>1. Look on the back of your headset or speakerphone Bluetooth device password. Normally the pairing code is printed on label headphones which are then placed at the bottom of the accessory. <br /> <p><br /> <p>2. Go to the Bluetooth menu on your phone with the password to your cell phone to find. The Bluetooth menu of your phone is usually located under the "Settings" menu. On the Settings menu, there should be an option to "Get code" or something similar, allowing you to get the code for your phone to find. <br /> <p><br /> <p>3. Go to the Settings menu of your computer to find the Bluetooth passcode. Some laptops will randomly generate a new password for your Bluetooth every time you want to link them to a new device. In this case, the configuration menu you are looking for is something like "pairing Generate a new code." <br /> <p><br /> <p>4. Check the manual for your Bluetooth if you cannot find access to the device or on your menu. Many manufacturers have pressed for access devices in your manual. If you still cannot find the password, try all zeros. <br /> <p><br /> <p>5. Look at online forums for the password to your phone if you still have trouble finding it. A Google search like "Nokia N98 Bluetooth pairing code." This research will typically take you to a forum or help page that the link code for your device will. <br />

Just purchased a Nokia 3588i for my disabled father-in-law; he needs hands-free speakerphone. I can't find this option on the phone. My email address is grandma.janet@hotmail.com. Thank you

It does not have a speakerphone.
Because the phone does not have this feature I would suggest you purchase a bluetooth headset so he can wirelessly take phone calls.

How do I use the loud speaker on a Blackberry pearl?

Hi there

Although the Blackberry pearl does not come with a speakerphone, you can still set up this function by using a Bluetooth device.

HERE IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

Power on your Blackberry using the On/Off button in the lower right-hand corner of the device

Turn on Bluetooth

Find the Bluetooth option. In the main menu, select "device options."

Enable Bluetooth radio. Click on the trackwheel to scroll down until you see the option "Enable Bluetooth". Select this function (click the trackwheel) to turn on Bluetooth compatibility. If you have completed this step correctly, you will now see a "Bluetooth icon" on your Blackberry screen. If you want, you can later turn off Bluetooth by repeating Steps 1 to 3 and then selecting "disable Bluetooth".

Pair your Blackberry with a Bluetooth speakerphone

Power on your Bluetooth speakerphone device using its On/Off switch or button.

Find the Bluetooth option in the main menu by again selecting "device options" and then using the trackwheel to scroll down until you see Bluetooth. Select this by clicking the trackwheel.

Add your Bluetooth device. Click on the trackwheel to scroll down until you see "Add Device." Then click on the trackwheel to select this function.

Enter the name and passkey of your Bluetooth device. When prompted, scroll down with the track wheel until you see the name of your Bluetooth device. Your Blackberry automatically detect your Bluetooth speakerphone if it is within 10 meters. If it does not, enter the name of the device, then type in the passkey provided by the manufacturer of the speakerphone.

Enter the passkey on your Bluetooth speakerphone. Your Blackberry and Bluetooth speakerphone can now communicate with one another.

To use the speaker during a call all you need to do is;

Dial a number and hit the send key. Make sure that your Bluetooth speakerphone is on, and that you have already set your Blackberry to "Enable Bluetooth." If you see the "Bluetooth icon" you have already done this step.

Activate your Bluetooth device. When the call has connected, click on the trackwheel until you see the option "Bluetooth Device". Then click on the trackwheel to activate the Bluetooth function. Your Blackberry will now route your call to the Bluetooth Speakerphone.

Turn on the speakerphone. Depending on which Bluetooth Speakerphone you have purchased, you may need to click on the "speakerphone" button to enable this function. Once the speakerphone is on, you may continue with your phone call.

  2. Be sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Follow the documentation provided with your phone to search for new devices.
  3. Select CARK 11 from the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone.
  4. Enter the passcode: 1234.
  5. The LED stops flashing when the phone is paired.
Note: You may follow the above steps to pair up to four phones. Pairing a fifth phone causes the first paired phone to be deleted.
