My older model Kenmore dryer went from working perfectly to suddenly stopping with a beep after a second of being turned on. I do not have a manual for it... Can you help me?

This was made by Sears Canada. Unfortunately can not find online parts list or schematic. The one on back of drier is very old and torn but almost readable (part labels are in English and French). Preliminary resistance testing indicates the belt switch to detect a broken belt may be open. Will check hot when someone else is here to throw the fuse panel switch. Electric dryer Model C110_8170091, Serial 9GG39617 Type DR_6 with Kenmore on front panel. An equivalent parts US dryer might be an alternative to get the correct parts

This is most likely the door switch that has failed or come loose

SOURCE: Dryer turns itself on & beeps, then off again

aye, see if you can enter the diagnosis mode. What we are looking for is the F-02 code. This will flash when there is a stuck button or user interface problem and only displayed in the test mode. With the unit plugged in and all indicator lights off, select any button except stop. Press for 3 seconds, release for 3 seconds, press for 3 seconds, release for 3 secnds and press for 3 seconds. If you did it right 88 should appear. Press the same button again and if there is a error, it should show up. If no error code shows, open the consol and check the p-5 connector. This will be the interface ribbon to the board. Reseat it and see if the problem stops. Catriver

SOURCE: kenmore gas dryer

That model does not have a pilot light.  It has an electronic ignitor.  If it is not igniting, either the igniter is not getting a signal to ignite, the igniter is burned out, or the gas solenoid is broken.  Probably the igniter is burned out.  It is item number 3018 at RepairClinic.com.

I have a newer model of what I believe is the same dryer. I'm not sure if the layout is the same on yours as it is on mine.

I had the same problem, first the problem stems from user error -- there's a reason they say to empty the lint trap after every use. I know I've been remiss in emptying it thus my beeping bonanza.

Second -- THE FIX -- in the lint trap area (this is described based on my 2007/08 model) there are screws that allow you to remove the lint trap censor cover, unscrew, you'll see it's connected to wiring, there are 2 electrical connections, these slide on and off, gently pull and each will slide off, clean the connectors. By disconnecting to clean, which is the basis of the problem, the electric function resets (as far as I know), the beeping stops and you're good to go! Good luck.

I have a Kenmore Elite dryer. Model # 110.67082600. The dryer has not been used in two days and I noticed it beeping. I unpluged it and plugged it back in. It did the same. It seems to run but after...

If you have a little bit of knowledge mechanically you can unplug the dryer and pull the top off by removing the 3 screws across the back at the very top, slide it back and lift it off. Inside of the dryer, at least in mine, there was a plastic folder on the inside with tech instructions that list the fault codes and it also tells you how to run a diagnostics mode on your dryer. Hopefully this will help you at least determine if it is something you need to call a tech to fix.

Cycle Signal keeps beeping loud-soft every 15 seconds while dryin

Hi Celine, I just experienced the same exact problem. I came here looking for a solution. I got mine to stop by holding down the cycle signal button for 3 seconds, releasing it for three seconds, and repeating until both lights (loud and soft) went off. Hope it helps.

I have a used Kenmore Series 80 dryer & the drum stopped turning

Good day,
Not hard to do but check the 2 rear wheels that support the drum and change at the same time if needed. Inspect the belt tensioner as well.
Here's a good tutorial on the belt change.

I had the same issue and (I think) I fixed it by taking the filter out and washing it with warm water to remove waxy buildup (per manual). It did not make any more beeping noise when I re-ran the load (so far only 1 load)
