How to install emulators???

I'm really new to this~ anyways, i own a casio e200 and i tried downloading emulators from PcketGenesis and MBoy(Gameboy) using MIPS. (which i'm quite sure is fine) so i copied the .exe files to any part of my ppc and i downloaded the roms to My Documents folder. How do i proceed from here?? I tried opening the .exe in my ppc but it said that it was was invalid appplication. So far, i've only been successfull with the PocketNES emu coz that's auto-install. THANKS

Re: How to install emulators???

The Casio E-200 is powered the faster 200mhz Intel StrongARM Processor. Instead of the MIPS version, you need the ARM version. The MIPS version is for a different processor manufactured by NEC I believe.

I Want WM6 back

Hi. The problem occurs because of a new fix of HTC devices in WM6.1. Actually there are two options for this problem as you stated: One, you can try using another emulator with WM6.1, for example this one: (http://www.bitbanksoftware.com/SmartGear.html). Two, you can downgrade your ROM to WM6.0, for example using one of the official ROMs (Can be found in the HTC's website) or by using one of these cooked ROMs: (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_Cooked_ROMs),(http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_ROMs). The choice is yours. I hope this helps.

Psion Revo replacement restore

What do you do if you no longer have access to a Psion, but need to access some data from an old Psion backup on your PC? Native Psion files can't be read on a PC, but fortunately, there are some solutions:
  • Use the PsiWin PC connectivity suite to convert the Psion-format files to a format that can be read on the PC.
  • Download and install the Psion ER5 emulator - this gives you a Psion machine on your PC, and will allow you to access your old data on a PC - See our emulator setup page. From the emulator, you may be able to print or export your data to a text file, or use a third -party Psion converter
  • Consider borrowing or buying an old Psion machine, loading the files onto the Psion, then printing the documents or data as a text file
  • Find another friendly Psion user that may be able to convert the file into a format that can be read by a PC for you. If you don't know of another user, try asking for help in our Psion forum
also
Data conversion for the Psion can be quite complicated, due to the file formats used by Psion / Symbian. You should find that the PsiWin program supplied on CD with your Psion machine can help you with most of your conversion needs. If your PC is connected to your Psion, dragging files from "My Psion" to the PC should prompt you to convert to a PC format, otherwise you can convert files that are stored on the PC, using the Psion File Converter. This program is installed with PsiWin and is located in c:\program files\Psion\PsiWin - the application filename is Cpycnv.exe
psiwinconv.jpg For more help on file conversion, see our dedicated conversion page.
Agenda and Contacts databases: Note that these can't be converted using the Psion File Converter - PsiWin supports synchronisation of these files, but not direct conversion. See our suggestions in our Backup FAQ. The most common solution is to load up the files in the Psion Emulator, and either use Print to save the data as a plain text file, or use a Psion-based converter, as detailed on our Conversion page

Maybe the recorder button is getting stuck? You can disassemble the unit and see if anything is in the way.

Targus keyboard installation

The problem is most likely with the driver being for an older MIPS processor (like the one in the Casio E-100). Where did you obtain this keyboard. Targus did not really support the EM500 when the keyboard came out. Now, they don't at all. Email Targus www.targus.com or Stowaway www.thinkoutside.com for a new driver.

Casio E200 and Connecting to Broadband

I don't have any experience with MSN service since I do not live in North America or Europe. However Lan line connectivity would definitely be faster. Yoy would need a COMPATIBLE 10/100 mbps cf lan card & set it up using parameters supplied by your ISP. The instructions + drivers would be included in the cf lan card package.

HELP: Activesync XP Reboot Problems!

Now don't laugh :-) on win 98 windows - I'm told - had a certain limited ability to fix itself. I don't know if xp does or not. Anyway on 98 if you ran into a problem you could let it reboot three or four times without doing anything but booting and shutting down - it at times would correct itself. This was normally on boot problems, but it might do some good - don't know of anything else to suggest. In your case I'd try this then try running active sync two or three times without doing anything else. Anyway that would keep you busy till a good tip comes along :-)

E200 Serial Port URGENT

You will not find any matching connector to connect the JK-744 host adapter for attaching to the 9 pin serial port on the pc. If you want full pinout details please contact me directly. Please do include some information on what you are trying to achieve. Maybe I can be of help in that department. I however have a feeling that trying any micro surgery on the JK-744 or trying any kind of non Casio adapter is likely to mess up the JK-744 device itself.
