Hpc6280 paper caught internally

This information comes from the User Manual on pages 111-112:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01150745.pdf

Internal paper jams on this machine tend to be in the two-sided printing accessory.

To clear a paper jam from the two-sided printing accessory:
1. Turn off the printer
2. Press in the tabs on the left and right side of the two-sided printing accessory, and remove it by pulling out from the center of the printer.
3. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. If the paper has torn, check the rollers and wheels for small, torn pieces of paper
4. If it's still not clear, open the two-sided printing accessory by pulling up on the tabs, and remove any paper stuck inside it, then close the accessory by pressing down on the tabs until they lock into place
5. Replace the two-sided printing accessory by pushing it forward until it snaps back into place
6. Turn on the printer, and verify that it works by pushing OK to continue the job it jammed on.

Printer D2460 blinks not print

Hi,

The HP printer may print incomplete characters. This issue occurs due to clogging of print heads. So this problem can be solved by cleaning or replacing the print heads. Sometimes the printer will not accept the paper tray. At that time, you have to turn off your printer and disconnect the printer from its power source and reconnect the power and then turn the printer on. The printed pages will sometimes come out skewed, this may be due to curled or torn paper become jammed inside the printer. One easy remedy for this problem is that, you have to remove the torn pages from the paper tray and smooth down all the curled edges of the paper. If the settings of the printer are not correct or the paper tray is overloaded, the printer may pick multiple pages for printing, which could result in paper jam.

Paper goes scew whiff when trying to print. Says there is a paper jam but none visible.

Smaller torn bits of paper may still be in the printer. Unplug the power, open the back access panel. Look for torn or jammed paper. Also check the ADF (auto document feeder) for a jam.

When you try it again, Dell recommends that you fan your paper. Fanning the paper helps break apart the bonds left by improperly cut paper which leaves the edges of the sheets interlocked.

PRINTING IS SMEARY AND NOISY

If there is a clicking noise as the printer is printing then most likely the fuser film has torn. The fuser film is part of the fuser unit. This item is best replaced by a technician.

Have you found pieces of film like material around the printer paper exit? It is most likely a dark grey color.

.Torn paper jammed in the printer. I cannot see the torn bits.

HI-

Check on the very left hand side of the printer if you can see specks of paper inside, you can open up the printer cover to be able to see or locate where the specks of paper if there is any. make sure as well that the tray for the cd is properly push in or not open, chances if all fails is your paper sensor is damaged, call epson for replacement if under warranty. If not have it serviced.

Hope this helps

Fedd paper and paper jam

The paper used for printing should not be wet, torn or folded from any side as this can cause paper jam, hence resulting in carriage jam. Also, use only one type of paper at a time while printing. The paper should be added to the In-tray only when the printer is not in use. Make sure not to overfill the In-tray.get more information
