Casio E200 and Connecting to Broadband

We have Charter cable providing us with our internet service and I don't know how to set up my Casio E200. I have the option of a phone line or a LAN line. When Charter called to set up the deal they said they were giving up 6 months of MSN. Am I supposed to find a number for MSN and dial into that? Iris

Re: Casio E200 and Connecting to Broadband

I don't have any experience with MSN service since I do not live in North America or Europe. However Lan line connectivity would definitely be faster. Yoy would need a COMPATIBLE 10/100 mbps cf lan card & set it up using parameters supplied by your ISP. The instructions + drivers would be included in the cf lan card package.

For doint that you must have the following info IP Address Proxy Port Setting Proxy Port Number APN beside the name and the Home page. The 4 listed above have to be provided by the service provider as they are service provider specific. Name and home page could be anything. So you must contact the service providers helpline and get these from them. Also connecting to the net requires GORS to be activated on your mobile number. Which also will be done by the service provider.

Create a new connection & input either BSNLNORTH or BSNLEAST in the APN settings. You need to be subscribed to GPRS before this.

Can not connect to internet

hi thanks for using fixya!!

If you are connecting to the internet by using GPRS, I recommend that you should contact your Network Service Provider for settings and configuration.

If you are connecting to the internet via WLAN, make sure that your in range from the wireless router to enable you to connect to the network.

If you need further assistance, let me know.

Tungsten t2 can't acess internet

If you have your T2 connected via cradle/cable, then there really should be no problem. Just make sure your host settings are set identically to your pc's IP info/dial up or broadband service info. If you're trying to connect wireless, you need to have wireless service in order to connect. AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint are a few good wireless providers. Good luck!

E200 Serial Port URGENT

You will not find any matching connector to connect the JK-744 host adapter for attaching to the 9 pin serial port on the pc. If you want full pinout details please contact me directly. Please do include some information on what you are trying to achieve. Maybe I can be of help in that department. I however have a feeling that trying any micro surgery on the JK-744 or trying any kind of non Casio adapter is likely to mess up the JK-744 device itself.
