You might be printing in a different mode...you can see it in the printing preferences tab(fastdraft, fastnormal, normal and best quality )... or are you directly connected to the printer? or in a LAN? try using a different usb port...

try uninstalling the drivers then reconnecting the printer with out them and see if xp default printers will work better, if not see hp website for the latest driver. looking at there site there is an update available which looks to be for your type of problem here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3311793#N317

I have this problem with my HP as well. Turn your printer off for a few minutes then back on. Try printing again, if the same thing happens you will need to uninstall the printer software and reinstall it. You will do this by going to start, control panel, change or remove programs and a list will generate. In this list look for your hp printer to be listed, highlight it and click remove. Once it is removed you will need to reinstall, do this by either placing your cd in and following the steps or if you dont have your cd, log onto www.hp.com and click drivers and downloads, select your model or if your printer is plugged in it will auto detect for you. download and install and attempt to print again, this should work.

I need to know how to enlarge the print size on my HP printer. No matter how large the print is on the document I am going to print, it is always very, very small when it is printed . I guess I need to...

You don't say what printer you're using, but in most, there are several ways for you to print. Look for settings on your printer's properties or PREFERENCES that specify whether to allow Windows or your printer to take control of how it prints. It would appear that Windows is NOT currently in control, but your printer. Try looking for settings that read more or less: Actual Size, Fit to page, or % of actual page. Here you may have the cause of your problem. Experiment with the first one, that sounds like what you need.
Good luck!

Constant error messages from hp deskjet2400

From the forum this is in, I will assume that you are running Win2k3EE on your laptop. Your issue might be a compatability issue with the print drivers. HP is notorious for making bad print drivers (ever since their aquisition of Compaq...before that, they did rock-solid work IMHO). For this printer, you may want to 1) uninstall the printer and use the Windows printer install wizard, as opposed to the HP installer, or 2) see if HP does offer a Server 2003 specific driver. HP commonly includes a bunch of "junk" in their Deskjet print drivers because those printers are targeted to individual home users who will use XP or Vista. Hope this helps...I know it isn't much to go on...good luck!

My printer refuse to print dont no why hp deskjet 3325

identify if the print drivers are correct, has the printer been printing fine then has stop? if so, currupted print drivers can cause this issue. uninstall the drivers then reinstall them. don't allown the auto detect to install the drivers for you, it will just install the currupted ones again that are stored in the inf directory.

Printer wont respond

When you get to the printers and faxes window, did you check HP 3323 as your default printer?

Using your word processor (e.g. MS Word), click File, Print, and you get to the Print window, make sure that the Name of your printer is set to HP 3323. You may have installed other printers previously and it's still set to that printer.
