HELP: Activesync XP Reboot Problems!

From what was a working XP to Casio E-115 sync installation, I first could not syc, and now on merely launching Activesync 3.5 or 3.6 my Win XP Home computer reboots. I tired numerous un-install re-installs and registery clean outs; safe mode installs etc. Still, on merely launching Activesync 3.5 or 3.6 my Win XP Home computer reboots. Any steps to remedy this? Thank you in advance for your prompt help in this regard. Murray Kerdman

Re: HELP: Activesync XP Reboot Problems!

Now don't laugh :-) on win 98 windows - I'm told - had a certain limited ability to fix itself. I don't know if xp does or not. Anyway on 98 if you ran into a problem you could let it reboot three or four times without doing anything but booting and shutting down - it at times would correct itself. This was normally on boot problems, but it might do some good - don't know of anything else to suggest. In your case I'd try this then try running active sync two or three times without doing anything else. Anyway that would keep you busy till a good tip comes along :-)

How i connect to pc my HTC S 710 Mobile?

If your PC has Windows XP, you should have ActiveSync installed and running, in order to have a WM smartphone synchronized. Otherwise, if it has Vista or 7, WMDC should be used instead.
If you already happen to have the correct sync program on your PC, and yet, are unable to sync your device, firstly, reboot both your PC and device. If you keep unable to sync, try to remove the partnership between your PC and your device on both of them, and try to connect your device again. If the failure persists, try to uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync (or WMDC), reboot your PC and try again.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
Cheers! Carlos

Nao consigo conecta-lo ao cpu

English:
For Windows XP, the application which synchronizes devices is ActiveSync. On the other hand, for Vista or 7, it is WMDC, instead.
In case you still don't have the correct program installed, please follow this link.
Otherwise, if your environment seems to be correct, and you already have a sync partnership between your smartphone and PC, delete it on both of them, reboot them both and try to synchronize them again.
However, if you keep having problems, try to reinstall ActiveSync or WMDC, and reboot your PC.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out. Cheers!

Carlos

IPAQ 1950 suddenly will not connect to PC to allow sync

Same problem, on four computers with two iPAQ 1950's. I installed ActiveSync 4.5, and all works fine now. This link will get you to AS 4.5:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/activesync-register.mspx

This SHOULD work for all PDAs, but I have only used it for the 1950.

ActiveSync Problems

If you tried it on two different desktops and you tried it after a hard reset, I would say that you have narrowed it down to a hardware problem. When you tried it on the two PCs did you use the same cable to connect it? If yes you might want to try a different cable or if possible you can you try a bluetooth sync? If a different cable or bluetooth doesn't work you probably need to have the device repaired.

Need help on connecting E-125

I doubt it... I mean it is unlikely there is any incompatibility there. Go to your device manager and make sure that your USB ports are installed and configured properly for your USB cradel.

EM-500 Conection Problem

Upgrade Activesync and the PC's USB driver. Then you should be OK once you upgrade Activesync to V3.6 and then get the latest USB driver for your system. Good luck

EM-500 sync problem

There have been issues with the cradle PCB on the EM-500. Casio has redesigned the same added an IC & a few additional componentes. I had similar problems & simply could not connect through the USB port. Worked flawlessly with the accessory serial cable (direct connection - no cradle ). This also was on an XP system. See if you can wangle out a free replacement/fix for yout cradle from Casio.

Casio E-15 and Linksys WCF11

Well - if your PDA runs CE 2.11, it should install. Try downloading specific CAB file from Linksys's website for the MIPS processor (E-15 uses VR4111). If you have Linksys WCF11 card, go to http://linksys.com/support/support.asp?spid=71 If setup still doesn't work - copy a MIPS CAB file to your Casio via ActiveSync and run it from there. However, even after you install it - you might face problems. I still wasn't able to run my Linksys WCF11 on Casio E-100. Apparently, there is no easy way to specify IP settings (gateway, WINS, DNS) in Windows CE 2.11 for Linksys (unlike PocketPC OS, where we have network settings in control panel). I tried playing with registry - however, it messes up big time.
