Question about Kodak Digital Cameras

1 Answer

How do I get my Kodak Z612 digital camera to take still pictures with 640x480 pixels? Got it accidentally setup that way, then set the megapixels to 6.0 and now can't figure out how to set it back.

I did try the manual instructions of which I have and setting it to 1.1 does not provide output of files. Somehow we got the camera itself configured so we can have 640x480 size without having to manually reset it picture using software after we it download to our pc. We just don't remember how it happened, unless somehow the kodak downloading the files to the computer and converts the 1.1 mp to 640x480. Is there such a thing?

My Kodak Easyshare DX7630 no longer takes 6.1 megapixel images!

This happens all the time.

Don't confuse pixels with bytes. JPEG files are compressed so as to tale less disk space. 1.5 to 2MB is just about right for 6MP pictures.

hi, you have shutter unit defective. indoor works fine but outside too much over exposure..due to shutter unit has oil contaminated on blade or sand damaged. your local repair shop could charge you around $45 to 65 if they are willing to repair. Good Luck with you!

How can you format a SD 4gb card for the Kodak EasyShare Z612 Digi Camera

You can't. The Z612 uses SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card and is incompatible with SD devices.

For SD cards (2GB and smaller), you'll find the Format operation in the Setup menu. Press the Menu button, then use up/down to select the wrench, then press OK.

Have Panasonic DMC-FX8 set for .3M picture size to download to Ebay; however the photo properties are 640x480 but 16 Million

If the photo properties are 640x480 and 16 million colors, then you're getting .3 megapixels. The number of colors has nothing to with the picture resolution.

Can ytou please tell me if it is possible to reset an olympus 8 mega digital camera from 144pixels to 300 pixels the camera is a stylus 800

No

I only say "no" because an 8 megapixel camera would be taking pictures from 640x480 up to <something huge>x<something else huge>

In any case if you were to ask "HOW" to change the capture resolution, on most camera's you'd go into the camera setup menu, then into the picture quality settings, and usually choose between low, medium, and high... or good, better, best... depends on the camera, but it means the same thing =-]
