Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Front loader- Drum is loose

Thank you for your response- I have scheduled a repair service coming out in 2 days. Do you happen to have a guess on how much parts for this may be? Just a guess? $100.00 or are we talking possibly $400.00-$500.00? Our washer is only 6 1/2 years old- which is one main reason we are going to try to get it fixed rather than purchasing a new one.

If you used A&E Factory service as I suggest for my Customenrs!
The service Charge is $75.
Parts vary! Could be only the belt is worn.
I suspect one of the 3 guide rollers or you may say they look like 3
little wheels that the drum turns on is possibly worn out at the base and wobbling !! I have seen this and the part should not be badly priced! Stay there and watch the guy as he finds it!!!!!!!!!!
As with "any and all" service people its good to see your self what they find ,when they find it! GET IT!! Stay with any tech! Yes hang over their shoulder!

Kenmore 600 washer shakes when agitating and spinning. Drum seems loose. What to do?

Well, based on my experience, it seems to be an issue of suspension rods which supports drum or it can also be an issue of drum belt or bearings.

You can schedule a service by contacting Sears Home Services via chat. Please login to www.searshomeservices.com. They will help you to schedule a service.

I have a Whirlpool front loader Model GHW9150PW1.The drum seems to be wobbling real bad and dragging the bottom of the washer, can you help.

First, remove the 2 screws that hold the bottom front kick-plate on and remove the plate. Look to see if any of the shocks have come loose or broke. Post back your results.

Machine not washing making all right noises but no wash the drum is very loose to move in the machine

If this is a front loader type machine, you may have broken the motor drive belt or the drum pulley may have worked loose. Remove the top, then the rear panel to service. Hope this helps!

Drum came loose on Fridgedaire front loader on final spin cycle.

What was the point of posting this on the site?

The drum has broken loose from the support plate at the rear

You need a new drum and a support plate plus probably an outer shell.

A complaint to the manufacturer may get you a deal on a replacement

Whirlpool Duet Washer (GWH9100LW1) Bangs Loudly during spin

how old iss your washer? do you have an owners manual. because usually there is an extended factory warrenty on the tub and basket. the only thing you would have to pay for would be the labor. Call whirlpool if you do not have a owners manual to find out. the bearing is compressed in the tub. does it sound like an airplain taking off in your house that's usually it.

Three day old Indesit washing machine

Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.

Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer Banging During Spin Cycle

If the the drum feels loose in any way, there are three possible reasons:
1. The pulley nut has come loose. (easily repairable from the rear)
2. The bearing is bad (part of the rear tub).
3. The spinner has come loose from the basket (what you describe)

In cases 2 and 3, the entire drum/tub assembly will have to be removed, disassembled and repaired/replaced.

Check your owners manual for possible limited warranty. Contact Whirlpool for potential warranty repair concessions for case 3 if not covered under limited warranty.
