Re: E 115 and windows ce?

Tascal software has a software for changing the wallpaper on the CE devices. File name is wpc032mp.zip. Try it.

Trouble with installing Windows CE

You do not install Windows CE, it is built into the Cassiopeia. What the CD is is the software for your computer to interact with the Cassiopeia.

You will want http://www.hpcfactor.com/ftp-root/software/microsoft/activesync/activesync-38/MSASYNC.EXE

Be-300 is not the standard Win CE 3.0 It requires PCConnect software for communication. Download it from the following link. http://casio.monacocorp.co.nz/cassiopeia/

Casio e-11

Compatibility for these devices will depend more on the version of CE than the hardware. I have successfully tried a few with E-11.

HELP: Activesync XP Reboot Problems!

Now don't laugh :-) on win 98 windows - I'm told - had a certain limited ability to fix itself. I don't know if xp does or not. Anyway on 98 if you ran into a problem you could let it reboot three or four times without doing anything but booting and shutting down - it at times would correct itself. This was normally on boot problems, but it might do some good - don't know of anything else to suggest. In your case I'd try this then try running active sync two or three times without doing anything else. Anyway that would keep you busy till a good tip comes along :-)

IrDa Driver for E-100?

Windows CE like the version you have do not use drivers persay. You need a program like the Peacemaker that has the support built in. There are no such thing as installable drivers like the desktop Windows. The newer PocketPC's have this feature built into Windows CE. Good luck

Cannot start communications with the desktop computer

I have connected XP machine with Active Synch 3.1 to a wide range of E series Cassiopeias including E-15. The installation on XP is different from all previous versions of Windows. Without installing Active Synch you have to connect the switched on device to your PC & let XP find the device & install its own internal driver/service. Reboot the PC. Next install Active Synch - any version which should now find your device & start the service & establish your connection.

Casio E-15 and Linksys WCF11

Well - if your PDA runs CE 2.11, it should install. Try downloading specific CAB file from Linksys's website for the MIPS processor (E-15 uses VR4111). If you have Linksys WCF11 card, go to http://linksys.com/support/support.asp?spid=71 If setup still doesn't work - copy a MIPS CAB file to your Casio via ActiveSync and run it from there. However, even after you install it - you might face problems. I still wasn't able to run my Linksys WCF11 on Casio E-100. Apparently, there is no easy way to specify IP settings (gateway, WINS, DNS) in Windows CE 2.11 for Linksys (unlike PocketPC OS, where we have network settings in control panel). I tried playing with registry - however, it messes up big time.

Casio has its own Video converter & video player software which was supplied as bonus pack with some devices. Works well too. You could also try Windows Media Player 7.1 for PPC.

Could someone help me please? (Newbie Alert!)

There are several types of processors used - find out which yours has and be sure the software will work on that processor. ARM SH3 Mips are the three as I recall. I have three hand units and two different processors.
