Buttons stop working. Help Please!

All of the buttons on my casio E-115 stop responding suddently, including the power button, although I am still able to run programs by using the stylus. It will turn itself off after being idle for a while when it is on battery and I have to press the reset to turn it back on. Could anybody please give me a clue what is going on? Do I need to perform a hard reset?

Re: Buttons stop working. Help Please!

I use a free utility called reset to reboot your device with the stylus. You need not press the button onthe back of the device. Apparently you have an ill-behaved application which is taking up the resources on the device & does not allow the device to recognise the keypresses. Do check the latest application you installed that caused this problem. Failing this you could always hard reset the device after backing up the device on a cf card using "CardBackup" - a much faster & reliable option than ActiveSynch's backup program.

Re: Buttons stop working. Help Please!

A hard reset wouldn't hurt. Just backup the unit, do a hard reset and then restore the backup.

Screen not responding following extended period of storage...

The digitizer is very thin and paired with the screen. Sometimes they can get so pressed together with time and storage that can cause it to fail. Some people believe that you can put a spacer in there to separate them and try to "unstick it". This involves taking your screen apart and it might not even fix your issue. I would look on eBay or other sources for a replacement screen and just replace the whole thing personally.

Palm TX power button and touchscreen

We have three TX's in our family with non-working power buttons. I downloaded the program Au Dodo http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/audodo.shtml and simply now use the far left button (button 1) as my 'power' button. It works wonderfully.

I haven't found out how to fix the calibration problem, but power on/off has been totally fixed. Good luck for you.
