This set isn't capable of going over 68, this is all it's programmed for. You will need to get a channel box that overrides the tv's programming in order to add the channel 73.

Hi,

Might it be that you need to add Channel 73 to the receiver box of your DISH Network? If you have such a receiver box, then the channel selection is done on that box and the Sanyo TV set is for viewing it output. This could be verified if the Sanyo is set to AV/Video input and changing channels are displayed not on the Sanyo but on the DISH receiver box.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

How do I do a channel scan?

Press Menu on the TV (second button from the left) or the remote. Use the Vol + / Vol - buttons to highlight Tuner, only available when the input is the TV (press TV/AV to get to the correct source) mode. Press Ch+/Ch- to highlight AutoProgram and then Vol+ to start the search for channels. The TV will show Tuning Finished when done and then go to the lowest channel found. If you want to add or remove stations, tune to the desired channel, then press Menu, and highlight Tuner, Ch+/Ch- to highlight Add/Erase, then Vol+/Vol- to set Add or Erase. Press TV/AV/Exit to get out of the menu.

I hope this helps.

Need to have tv on chan. 73, for dish access

When I had Dish hooked up I had to use chanel 3 on my television or the video inputs. The Dish box will take care of all the stations that yor receive. You shouldn't have to change chanels with your tv.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

There are no problem with the TV set,we bought the set second hand and didn't receive the manual,we were wondering how we could programe the set to give only 5 stations shown on the set, not the blank...

Do you have the remote ? What model is the TV ? Usually you can use the remote to add/delete stations. There should be an add/delete button(s) on the remote.

If you can access the main menu, you want to go into add/remove channels.

With any luck there will be instructions on the screen.

I have an RCA converter box hooked up to an RCA TV and a Sanyo VCR. The TV and VCR are set on Channel 3. The converter box is set on Channel 4 and the TV is also switched to CH 4 when viewing digital...

Basically, you cannot use the coax connections for both the VCR and the RCA converter box. I would hook up the phono/cinch connectors from the VCR to the TV if you can (these are also called RCA connectors, but I'm avoiding using that name so we dont confuse the digital receiver with a cable/connector name that is the same here). There should be a yellow one for video and red/white ones for left and right stereo. I believe the RCA converter comes with a three headed cable that can do this for you. With this configuration, you can set the TV to input on these connectors and the VCR should always output there. Once that is set, you can still use the converter box to receive the signal from your antenna, then run the coax to the VCR. Now, the VCR will always have to be set on channel 4 in your setup and you will need to manually change channels on the converter box for it to record a show. Does this make sense so far?

Hi there!

Assuming that you tried to tune stations onto the UHF bandwidth and received nothing,Commonly the tuner box is probably at fault and needs replacement. The VHF and UHF signals are split inside the tuner so if you receive VHF fine then UHF should as well unless faulty of course. Some circuits require an external IC to do the switching, but more on the older models. Regards and good luck, JUS004

If you are on outdoor antenna or rabbitt ears this cannot be done as most tunersonly go to channel 69 . If your are on cable this can be achived by going into the menu and first making sure the tv is in the cable mode . Your set should have a section for manuelly adding or deleting or channels , simply by pushing 73 with your remote then using the onscreen menu to add this channel . Or you can just autoprogram your channels over again and this should pickup your channel . If this does not work what is the model # of your set so i can lookup the manuel if it is available. Also you can try to google the model # of your set with the phase (owners manuel) to see if you can find a free download of your set .This will also have the info your looking for . Good luck
