Check the water-inlet valve for cleanliness, and functionability then replace if necessary.

Can air in line cause this problem and does pressure switch need to be reset by a tech.?

why are you supplying hot water to a machine
best use cold water only as adding hot and cold will cost you more than just adding cold and heating it too 30 deg or so
yes it cant cause this problem
and no your pressure switch will reset its self when the machine is empty of water

so perhaps your machine it blocked up traps or filters on the pump / waste end...

Maytag Neptune TL washer doesn't stop adding water

it sounds like your drain hose is to low it needs to be 3 feet high if its to low this will cause the water to syphon out and keep refilling

Get the control panel off and remove the water pressure tubing. Blow it out and reconnect to pressure switch. Remove water so that pressure can once again build inside the tube. Retry>

Water will drain durring spin cycle

This is normal on some machines. Run it through a complete cycle it should fill, agitate, drain, some will drain down so low then start spinning as it is draining but should stop draining before it fills or stops. Check if water is coming in at the same time it is draining. If not it may be ok.

What would cause a washer not to fill?

a bad water valve.take off the two water lines, stick them in the washer where the clothes go and open the water valve, hold the hoses when you do this, see if any water is coming out the hoses,if not you have a bad house water valve and the washer is ok.if water comes out then you need to check the water valve on the back of the washer.if you need more help you need to send the model number, hope this helps you.

The washer leaked water out the bottom after the wash was finished. It took 4-5 towels to soak up the water. What is wrong with the washer?

you will need to open the machine (front panel - most times its 2 screws on the bottom)
and turn the machine on & look with a flash light where the water come from...is it busted pip , or pump is bad...
good luck

Do I need 2" drain for frontload washer?

not nessarily if your draining system can handle a non-efficent washer the old top load style drain 42.3 gal of water evey time it fills and for a complete cyc on the h-3 washer only 14 for a complete cyc. When the unit is in the high spin all of the water is already drained and what little water is spun out of the clothing in nothitng to worry about

Washer won't hold water

sounds like your drain pump is bad. They are relatively cheap to repair. You can find them on www.Repairclinic.com . Remember to unplug all appliances before servicing. Good luck. You will need your model number to find the correct part.
