Check the water inlet valve solenoid. Look for blockage at the inlet screen of the water valve. Check that the float switch in the bottom of the tub is not gummed up with gunk and sticking up. (Making the dishwasher think it is full)

Frigidaire Professional Series dishwasher started to have hot water suddenly fill up dishwasher and the pour out onto my kitchen floor. The dishwasher was not on. I had to press cancel button to get water...

I think your hot water inlet valve has failed open. It is electrically operated, and can stick in that position.

If not that, it is possible that the water level sensor signal has failed, but that should only be apparent when the washer is on.

It requires a service call.

Bosch Dishwasher won't fill with water

Certainly *sounds* like the float is stuck in the over filled position
or possible a bad float switch, if the float is stuck in the up or full position, the d/w will not fill with water and the drain motor will often run all the time

GE dishwasher stops after filling with water

Fantastic; we only use our dishwasher about 3 or 4 times a year, and this solution worked perfectly; thanks 1,000,000!!!
at the back of the motor...there should be a impeller blade...you should be able to reach in with a finger and pull it down..it may be resistant so find a way to hold it in place as you reach up to the next impeller blade and pull down further...finally it will all of a sudden free up....after which you plug it back in and start it up

Water empties immediately DW711

It will be a fault with the water level sensing circuit, try adjusting the inlet tap pressure as it is a time fill and if the pressure is too high or low it will pump out. Also a flood switch fault could cause the same issue.

Westinghouse sb915 - draining too early.

1. Is your drain point higher than the bottom of the dishwasher? (ie, does it drain into the garbage disposer or does the drain line drop down below the floor into house plumbing?) Did you just install the unit? You may have to install an "air gap" to prevent syphoning.

2. Did the dishwasher work then suddenly stop working? (asking for clarification)

My GE pot scrubber won't fill with water, all kof

you are probably in need of a new water inlet valve part #WD15X10003, should be around $35.00. this valve opens up at the proper time on the timer to let the water into the machine. hope this helps.

Dishwasher will not fill with water

I would check your fill valve screen, where your water line connects to the dishwasher, lots of times i will see that screen clogged, especially on customers homes that have wells.

There is no way to change the fill time on these.
There is also the potential problem with the float sticking if it is gunked up it will not allow water in...see that it moves up and down freely and you should here a clicking noise.....If it is not one of these there could be a problem...with the timer...I am providing a link that will help walk you through this problem in a more technical...manner...if you are not comfortable performing these tests...i suggest you fore go it and let a tech handle it....

this is one continuous link.....you can scroll down until you see the won't issue.
I hope this helps ..good luck, have a good day& please rate my effort......The Fang

Dishwasher wont fill.

Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

Bosch Dishwaher shy56a

Bosch dishwashers have a seperate pump for washing and another for draining. Try making it fill more than once. There is usually a timed fill and the float stops it before it overfills It also might prevent it from washing without enouth water Try defeating the door switch and play with the float during fill. There may be a sensor that won't let it go into wash. Be prepared to get a little wet if it should start up suddenly. A slightly safer way is to fill it with the sprayer from the sink. and see if it will go into wash.

Very poor cleaning all of a sudden

suspect blockage in the actual spray arms - take them out and clean under the tap. a check is to open the door when in operation and see if the spray arms are rotating. they are made to rotate only by the force of water thro angled jets at the end of the arms
