Need to make my dvd player multi region

Region numbers are allocated to DVD Recorders and DVD-Video according

to where they are sold.

The region number of this unit is "2".
The unit will play DVDs marked with labels containing "2" or "ALL".

My LG DVB-T HDD/DVD Recorder will not play or record sound via TV Channels!

If the TV source is separate from the recorder, there has to be a physical connection between the two. From your description it seems there is a video connection, but what about audio?

SAMSUNG HR733 DVD RECORDER WILL NOT PLAY ANY REGION DISCS AT ALL

On page 45 of the user manual it says this:

Both the HDD & DVD RECORDER and the discs are coded
by region. These regional codes must match in order for the
disc to play. If the codes do not match, the disc will not play.
The Region Number for this HDD & DVD RECORDER is
described on the rear panel of the HDD & DVD RECORDER

If you changed the region codes on your player it will not work. They should be set back to 1 or whatever your model says on the back of the unit.

If this unit was purchased outside the United States, it may not work in the United States.

Here is a copy of the manual if you need it:
