Sounds like a bad ignition switch.

Won start

Well it could be several different things. The security system, the neutral safety switch, the starter, a bad connection, and so on.

2000 dodge grand caravan 3.8L. the a/c stopped cooling, the next day the serpentine belt broke so I replaced it. It wouldn't start so I had alternator tested, it was bad, replaced it, still...

sounds to me like a siezed up ac unit.. it would not spin while all other pulleys spin... thus causing the broken belt.. hope that helps you

I want to add a quart of LUCAS synthetic tranny fluid, into my 2000 Alero, would that hurt.

I wouldn't put anything in your trans but the correct fluid

If you want to believe all the advertizing & other advice,
go ahead

I once owned a trans repair shop & never used any
of those products.
Obviously there was a reason

Just like putting injector cleaner in your gas tank
12 oz in 18 gallons of fuel, Won't do a thing

You WILL NOT FIX ANY trans problems changing
fluid or adding anything. Simple won't work.

Fluids are for heat removal,so how would they do
anything else?

I have a 97 Crown Vic/w police interceptor....I asked a question several days ago because of issuses I'm having with my car. The car starts sometimes, with no problems. Other times...it won't...

Sounds like its a starter problem,if you can pull the starter off take it to an auto parts store,

there are many locations that have equipment to put a load on the starter, and they will be

able to tell if its bad. once you pull the starter off, if you can check the teeth on the fly wheel,

if there is a dead spot, the starter could spin and not engage the flywheel. I hope it's the

starter. the bendix on the starter the teeth that engage the flywheel could also have dead

spot's. and not engage all the time. good luck!

My 1992 chevy G20 van that has never given me any problems starting, just suddenly didn't start for me after taking me to the store. I was able to get it home but it wouldn;t start again until the next...

It is probably the starter . It is becoming heat soaked. When starters get old, heat build up can cause starter motor and solenoids to stick. Once it cools down parts can unstick. Get a new starter. Have it load tested.
