All washing machine have lint filters to protect the pump, but they generally have quite large holes and although called 'lint' filters, they are to stop baby socks and coins getting into the pump. They are always at the bottom of the machine behind the front kick panel on a front loader or under the agitator on a top loader.
If your washing comes out covered in lint, you need to find the item that is shedding it. May also be paper tissues left in pockets. We only have one item that sheds lint and that is a bathmat. We wash it separately.
Kenmore HE2 front loader. We had a problem with all the cycle lights blinking. I took that access cover off and found 4 years of lint and muck with a few fabric items in that sump. There is also a second troubleshooting manual taped to the back of the access door. after cleaning the pump filter it worked fine. This should be in the owners manual but its not, they say to call the service guy and be charged an arm and a leg
Hello - I will be happy to assist you. However, in order to provide the information you are requesting, may I please have your model number. Typically, the lint filter is located on the lower front as you open the door.
HI- Washer really don't have a lint filter so to speak. Some of the front load washers have a filter in the drain pump but that basically just keep the quarters and bobby pins from ruining the pump. Is it possible to have someone extend your standpipe with a larger diameter pipe that you could place a screen into, or place the screen on the drain hose and then put them both into the larger pipe. A plumber should be able to figure something out. It would be about $1000 dollars cheaper than buying a front-loader and probably more effective. Good luck.
The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and
stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws
panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose
see.The white filter cover is right in front.
Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect
Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the
put it back in carefully.
Next: You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits
of soap and other such things can be
stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works
all front loaders. Use quite hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes
run the machine through a cycle. Also
helps with any stagnant water smells. Have you cleaned out your pump
lately.Put the pellet inside the
machine, not in the soap dispenser.
Pl give me a good rating for the free help, thanks.
It has a self cleaning lint filter. Front loaders call for "Special" HE detergent .....and I would only use about a table spoon..You may be Cloging the special self cleaning lint filter ,with extra soap .Top loaders use a lot of water compared to front loaders. Let me know ,If I could help Again! Thanks
The lint filter should be in the agitator. Pull the softener dispenser off the top of the agitator and check for a filter. You might even find that the agitator shaft is very dirty. Put through a warm wash with a solution of 1 cup vinegar to one cup bicarbonate of soda and let it go through complete wash. This should solve the problem.
