This player only accepts the .TXT file format. If you have an ebook file try converting it into a .txt file. I did this by taking an adobe ebook, copying it and pasting it into wordpad. I then copied that file, now a .txt file, and pasted it into the coby player. If you open my computer and go into the player it will have an ebook folder, open that and paste the .txt file. You can now eject your player. When you then click on the text icon in your coby it will open the folder, which is the ebook folder and your file should be there. It won't read like an ereader but it will do the job if you have some time to kill.
Well sir i don't know if it supports ebooks.. but i know it supports xvid and avi format for videos. maybe the video you downloaded wasn't supported by it

player--Playlists-Create playlist--Now create playlist as you want-Now select
same playlist which you have created-Options-Add-Now if you want to add single
song, please click on song name and song will be added-if you want to add
multiple song, then select "Multi" option from left side of the bottom-Mark the
multi songs -Now press "Done" from left side of the bottom-Now select the first
option of "Play" to play songs of playlist.
