My first adivse is to check to make sure there are no power to ground shorts or any shorts for that matter. Then, a possibility would be if you have too small of fuses. Make sure you put the correct fuses in in amp according to the manufacturer's specs and the fuse under the hood should be size of your fuses on your amp added up plus a little extra. Meaning if you have 2 25A fuses on your amp then you probably want around a 60A. What ever you do don't put bigger fuses in the amp than the manufacturer specifies or you will cause damage if something gets shorted. Another possibility is that you could have the speaker impedence too low and the amp isn't stable at the impedence you have it at. I hope I could help. Let me know if you need me to specify more. Good luck

There should be a fuse on the radio. If not check any fuses inside the vehicle; normally by the driver kick area. If this doesn't help, I guess you know the rest.

My original stereo does not turn on

First thing to do, if your original stereo does not turn on, is check the fuse panel. Most all original stereo's will have a fuse in the panel. Check in your owners manual for location. Sometimes they will have a inline fuse, but that is normally on after market powerful ones with power amps and all that. But first step is locating the fuse in the panel inside. Sometimes it will be in a fuse box under hood. Check manual for area it is located. Thanks Mike. mc1bean.gif

Keeps blowing the prime fuse under hood, gas gage won't read, heated seats won't come on,after truck starts, blows that fuse each time.Problem just started.

this problem is most likely caused by a fuel pump with high amp. draw on start up.use a amp meter.then replace fuel pump.

Stereo wo;; npt work

If the fuse has popped there's always a reason why. Consulting the user handbook (if you have it) should sort you out. Failing that the stereo is normally on one of the 15 amp fuses. just check to see if any of them have blown and replace. If you do find it and it blows again, it's normally an earth problem or (loose or disconnected wire somewhere, normally under the hood)
