1 Answer

HELP!!! Hi, my name is Vivian & I have a W810i model. Its got a problem. It keeps going off. It has fully charged battery but it still goes off! In the middle of calls. Even when no 1 is touching it! Even while its on the charger i still goes off! When it goes off it takes time to come back on again. You have to repeatedly press the on button before it lights up. Please help, its a great phone & I wouldn't like to replace it. I bought it in Jan this year.

The phone's firmware needs to be reflash on the phone to correct this issue so you should take the phone and have that done or you can do this online at topsony.com

First check your battery whether it is fully charged. And also check your memory card whether it has any virus in it.Because virus in memory card will also cause this problem.Don't forget to check your battery

i got the say problem 2 days back. I read some pots in forums. This is what worked for me. First fully charge the phone some. Get a friend's phone or something. Then get ready with the data cable and your computer with internet.

Goto Sony ericsson site.

search for w810i SEUS Sonys update system.

At the bottom result it says"Sony Ericsson - Support - Update Service Compatible with K510i W810i W200i .

Click on that and dowload the program. At the right corner it shows the phones which supports it.

install the program and run it.

do exactly what it says.

It worked for me. I got all my contacts and messages back.

Good luck

Battery charge is not lasting

If your connection to the Internet service is ON for long perods of time, not necessarily used, it will run the phone battery down. If your battery doesn't keep its charge its time to replace it. Use only the Sony Ericsson Battery recommended for your phone, not a similar battery.

W810i doesnt turn on or connect via usb

Charge the phone until it has finished charging, The first thing to do is to make sure that the phone is charged. Attach the charger and charge the phone for about 2.5 hours. Please note that the battery icon may not appear until after the phone has charged for 30 minutes. When the battery icon has stopped “flashing” the phone is fully charged.

Battery goes flat in about 4 hours. from a full charge so I bought a new battery and the same thing happens blue tooth is off.Can you help any idea's welcome Flat Ray

I honestlty think that sony ericsson and motorola do have the very same issue with the battery life in the batteries.....so you are stuck with it that way unless you can but a generic battery some have a longer lasting life.

But also remember if you are in an area where the signal is not that stronger that als pulls the battery life being that the phone keeps searching for a stronger signal.

My W810i keeps flashing on and off, unable to use it.

first of all check if the battery is fully charged or not. If it does not solve the problem then you might have to reload the software by using UFX box. For that you have to go to the Sony Ericsson service or any Mobile repairng shop.
