Maytag Epic-Z F-28 error code
I have a Maytag Epic-Z washer. On the last few minutes of the cycle the washer stops and gives and F-28 error code. The manual states that F-19 thru F-31 are electrical errors. Is there something I can check before waiting 2 weeks for Maytag to send someone? Thanks

- I just purchased my Epic Z and it's giving me the F 28 error code, I called Maytag and they did schedule me for someone from A & E Factory to come out to my home. The door won't unlock, it does absolutely nothing!!I just looked it up on another website, it's an electrical problem. I just bought it, have not used it once. It's extremely heavy and we did have to bring it up a flight of stairs or else I would take it back to Lowe's! Hopefully it will be an easy fix, with three men in the house, we will be up to our necks in dirty clothes in no time!!- tsousa1967

- My washer shows the error code F-28. The front door will not open, the washer will do nothing at all. Tried unplunning for up to an hour. Did not help. Help- Guest

Try unplugging the machine for 3 minutes and then rebooting it!
If the problem continues! Service is the only possibility
If your in the states try A&E Factory service the 800 number is below! They are usually quick!

F28 is a misc error,
most of the time it is because the washer is NOT LEVEL.
1. Unplug waher,
2. Relevel washer. (make sure all legs are equally distributing weight, so as to ensure no shaking). See owner's manual.
3. Plug in, and use.
