My GE 15 cycle heavy duty plus washer the water keep running in the rinse cycle

Hum the water inlet valve may be going out or defective, have u noticed any water in tub at bottom when machine is not in use or after a day or so? check it with multimeter. Another suspect could be a bad timer sticking on rinse cycle, or a bad water pressure switch, which is suppose to shut water off at certain water level then start the agitation? In other words when in rinse and water is draining, the pressure switch continues to read low and opens to keep the water flowing to replace water that is lost? Need a multimeter test on all of them

My maytag topload washer overfilled,

It isn't a sensor problem, it sounds more like your water level tube has pulled loose. This is attached to the outer drum itself. You can see it when you remove your front cover to the right of the outer tub. This tube uses the pressure generated from your tub water level to push air up to your water level selector, which has a rubber membrane that flexes and closes 2 contacts as the water level makes the rubber expand. If that tube is off, the water will just keep running.

Flood!

If it fills with water and starts the cycle and the water keeps running in then your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is sticking. It need replacing.

Your pressure switch stops the water and allows it to start the next cycle. It's a switch either in the control panel or at the top of the tub with a small tube connected to it which goes down between the inner and outer tube. As the water level increases the air in the tube is compressed until there is enough pressure to make the switch stopping the water from filling. This tube can get clogged and the switch won't work. Remove the tube and clean it out. Blowing on the tube when it's still connected to the switch will make the switch if it's working and clear.

Water does not stop at the proper level. Keeps running and will overflow. Once it gets to the spin cycle is does not continue to run. If I let it fill, cut off the water at the valve and then refill it for...

Sounds like it could be the water level switch. An obstruction or defect in the water level switch will make it not tell the water to turn off, overfilling the machine. The switch senses the water level in the clothes tub. It is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear plastic tube between the switch and the bottom of the washers outer tub. As the water level comes up, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When it reaches high enough, it trips the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the wash cycle. Clear away any obstruction in the tube or replace the switch. Hope this helps.

Water continues to run and over flow as cycle won't start

Hi!

There are two main reasons due to which the water is overflowing out of washing machine---

1. Water Inlet Valve: A defect in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it. If this occurs, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub. In time, the water may accumulate substantially. If this happens, you need to replace the valve.
2. Water-level switch : A defect--or an obstruction--in the water-level switch may mean that it can't tell the water to shut off. So the machine overflows. This switch senses the water level in the clothes tub. It's usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. You can either clear any obstruction in the tube or replace the water-level switch

Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Water won't cut off on super load

yes raise your drain hose up. do not shove it down the drain to far or the bottom of the hose will be below the water level in the machine. it is called siphoing. you can hear it by shutting the machine off when it is at the cycle you stated and hear it draining. pull the hose up and secure with a strap.

Water keeps going and going and going!

the water is draining back to the ocean. The drain hose was not emptied properly from its last use. Put the machine in spin cycle (about 5 minutes) only to spin out the water from the outer tub completely and retry washer. If still problem, then visual check drain hose that it still has a "rising" section higher in altitude than the water level of inner tub (when working properly) before it makes a U-turn downward to send back to the ocean. You can also test the drain hose by putting machine in fill mode and crimping off the hose (fold hose over) to simulate a good drain hose. At this test, you should not "feel" water running through the hose if successfully crimped.
