I'm downloading ACL now to check the possible settings. Double click the sound horn next to your time and click Options Properties and adjust sound for Recording. Now you are in the recording settings window for Windows. See what those options are. Look at the bar on the top that has to do with line in and L/R If it's greyed out and can't move it...your driver/card is only letting you record mono. If it's gray like it's active and you can move it left or right then it's a setting in your ACL. I'll be posting about that shortly

If you can hear the sound playing back from the turntable in your computer you don't need I-Tunes. All you need is a recording software, I recomend Magix Audio Cleaning Lab. It will record the signal from your deck and then you can clean it up remove all the clicks and bad noise and the save it to any file format or make CD's with it.
You can buy it cheap from Amazon.
Can you hear any other sounds on your computer? If so, make sure your
recording properties are set to the device name that is producing the
sounds you want to record.
On my computer, this is called "stereo mix".
To get to the recording control:
1) Double-click on the speaker icon
next to the time on the very right of your task bar. 2) Click on
properties 3) Then, click on the options menu item. 4) Next, click on
the radio button next to record. 5) Select all the check-boxes 6) Click
OK
At this point, if you aren't sure which device produces the sound
that needs to be recorded, you can select one at a time until it works.
There shouldn't be any more than 5 or 6 devices to choose from.
If magix support .iso files do an iso image of the cd you plan to burn you'll have then a 600-700mb iso file that you have to burn at work. of course at work your recording program should support ISO's, or you will obtain the same unusable file as you get back from your home
