I have an old SMC Barricade WBR14-G Wireless Router that still works fine. I stopped using it when I switched to 2wire from att. I want to use the SMC's repeater function to boost the signal to a pc located in the kitchen. That pc has a usb wifi adapter and the signal is a little weak. How do I "physically" set up the smc. Do I need to attach a Lan. I tried to go online to the admin page of the smc but couldn't. is this a lost cause? any help will be appreciated. Thanks, DC

login with ur router and change the channels>and use channel 11>1 and check with antena weather its straight looking the roof>and if its not works down grade or upgrade firm ware or use with out any security like wap or wep rate me solved if its help full thx

just hardwired a computer to the router and open a web browser. on the address bar of the web browser type http://192.168.2.1 (default ip address of the router) and you will be prompted with the login screen. by default you don't need to type anything on the password field. now you will prompted with the router's page and from there you can set it up.

Maybe it is an electricity problem, or it's nearing the end of it's life. I bought 2 routers till now.each one worked fine for 2 years and then never worked.You should buy a new one or check if there's something with the electricity . Maybe a higher voltage

Are you trying to configure the router wirelessly. Connect your computer to the router with a lan cable and then access the router and change its wireless settings. since you cannot change the wireless settings wirelessly as you will get disconnected.
