Phil try to plug-in the powrcord directly to the wall and then touch the power module after having it plug-in in the power outlet if you could feel that there is a change of the temperature of the powermodule it shows that this is working but if no change on its temperature the power module is not working and needs to be replaced....

IT Won't power up.

Possible failure of the main power supply unit which is a switch mode power supply.( SMPS).
You need to disconect the power supply to the printer and open the panel to check the SMPS unit.

Please check on the link below for tips to check the SMPS unit. If this is not possible check with a power supply unit to confirm before you order.

Why is my samsung clp making a clicking noise?

Is the printer making a clicking sound when it is printing? Or is it just making a clicking sound but there are no light and the printer appears to be dead except making a clicking sound?

I know of a cause for either case.

Case 1. It is clicking when printing. Sometimes the toner cartridges are not seated properly in the imaging unit, and causes the gear on the cartridge to slip making a clicking sound as the gear is being turned. Try pulling out the cartridges and try turning the gear. It should turn smoothly without binding. If it binds, there is not much you can do about it except replace it when it goes empty. Reinsert the cartridge and check that it inserted completely into the imaging unit.

Case 2. Printer is dead, not printing except making a clicking sound. This is due to the power supply board failure. Usually the failure is due to a blown filter capacitor on the power supply board. The power supply is located on the right side of the printer. Remove the right side panel to get access to the board. The board can be either repaired or replaced. Hope this helps you.

The power does not come on when the "On" button is pushed. What's the problem?

Hi:
Check near the power input connector for a small fuse compartment, the line protect fuse may be blown and in need of replaceing. If there is none then the power supply is not getting power the fuse may be internal to the unit. Or the pwr supply has failed entirely, but check the simple solutions first, usually no power is due to the printer being plugged in an switched outlet or blown fuse or power supply failure.

My printer is not working

Possible failure of the power supply unit. open and check for a fuse , if the fuse blows off then the SM driver , capacitor may be faulty , you can repair or replace.
However if power comes on then uninstall and reinstall the printer after disconnecting and try.
Helpful?

Since a recent power failure the printer will not turn on.

It is possible that the power supply in the printer has failed. You will need to open the power supply unit whichcis within the printer. Open the panels and get acess to the power supply which is a SMPS- switch mode poweer supply. Start from the fuse, the surge protector which could be short or the mains rectifier, mains capaccitor or the SM driver. Replace and proceed.Check for short inthe secondary side for fusible resisistors opening, for diode shorting or zener shorting. Also check for the optocoupler which feedsback the switch. Use a good multimeter to check. If you are not familiar ask a friend with electonics knowledge to help. However if you visibly notice a fault of a burnout replace and proceed. hope this helps. Good day

Machine will not turn on

Possible hardware failure. Connect it directly to a working power source. Try to turn it on again.
If your unit is over a year old now, log on to epson.com. Click on the drivers and support tab. Click on help me find a service center to the right of the page.
