PUK - PIN Unlocking Key.If the wrong PIN is typed in more than three times, either the SIM card, the device or both become locked.Then ,the device asks for a PUK code with which the phone can be reverted to their original unlocked state. You can get PUK code from your service provider for free.There would be no cost for getting PUK code.But if the wrong PUK is entered ten times in a row, the device will become permanently blocked and unrecoverable, requiring a new SIM card.
