Question about HP Computers & Internet
I can not start up the computer. Whenever the power is turned on, the desktop is making a noise. the fan is on. It was shut down for three weeks and no history of power surge.
Let assume that the machine is fine. Is the display powered? Is the data cable from the display correctly connected.
The reason I am assuming your machine is fine is because it a name brand box. And when a video card fails on an HP you get a series of beeps from the computer. The same goes with the CPU and memory.
So if the machine is not beeping, it's generally one of two things. Connections or, sadly enough, a dead system board.
Hope this little bit of direction helps,
