It's important that high-current devices like microwaves be on their own dedicated breaker.

I would suspect the 20A fuse and then the oven cavity thermostats, in that order.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

At
our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

Accessing some components (such as the oven cavity thermostat) for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

You can download Whirlpool owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

I have been given a Sanyo Fan Assisted Oven 1200w / microwave 900w but no instruction manual. Can you help?

We can most likely help you but need and exact model number so we can help you try and find you the correct manual.

I am going to post 2 links that you can use your model number to try and download a manual. In the case of these manuals if you have a model number that is close to your model number it will work for you.

You will need your model number.

Also try here:

If you are in the UK you will need to use this link:

How do I remove the fan cover for cleaning?

It depends on your brand and model number.

You can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

You should be able to download your LG / Goldstar manual here. If not, you can contact them via that page to order one.

You can download owner's manuals and installation instructions for several brands (including Amana, Frigidaire, Jenn-Air, Kitchenaid, Litton, Maytag, Roper, Tappan, Thermador and Whirlpool) here.

Stainless steel GE XL 1800 spacemaker works ok except the vent fan doesn"t come on when cooking, which gets to hot and shuts off. The fans work when you push the vent fan buttons and the vent covers...

So the fan motor's 21VAC winding is working. That's good.

But either the fan blade is loose on the shaft (a super glue fix) or the fan motor itself had failed.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

The fan motor is shown on the diagram there as reference # 78, part # AP3192806, located behind the control panel and adjacent to the magnetron.

I'm not sure you have to pull the oven from the wall to replace it, but if you do, the oven installation (& removal) instructions are included on the tech sheet inside the unit.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel, and it is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

You can also download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

If you don't find yours I can send you a copy, or if you need more help, feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit).

NEED INSTALLATION MANUAL OR INSTRUCTIONS

You may be able to download the installation instructions from the Sears parts site.

Just enter your model number there.

A full Sears/Kenmore model number has 3 digits, a dot, then 8 more digits, such as ###.########

On the resulting page, look to the right for the blue "View manuals" button. Click there.

d:%5cele%5crepair%5cmicrowave%5ckenmore_sears%5cview_manuals_button.jpgd:%5cele%5crepair%5cmicrowave%5ckenmore_sears%5cview_manuals_button.jpgd:%5cele%5crepair%5cmicrowave%5ckenmore_sears%5cview_manuals_button.jpg439cb0b.jpg

That Sears-related site has many free manuals. While the manuals they list there are all free, they will ask you to register.

Many times, the owner's manual will also have the installation instructions inside.

If yours is not listed there for free, you would have to order it through the
Sears parts site.
