Have you tried pressing Fn and the F2 key. As this acts like a hard-where based switch. You shoudl see networks after doing this.

Dear Sir, There is no provision of fixing my laptop to a wireless router. Can anybody advise how to convert this "laptop" to enable getting wireless connection of internet?

To connect to the Internet you need a few extra things aswell as a network or wireless card and install the LAN or wireless driver.
1. You need to sign up with an Internet service provider.
2. Connect a LAN cable from your computer to the DSL or cable modem
3. You need a DSL or cable modem and connect and configure the modem to inaccordance with your Internet service provider's instructions.
4. Install Internet Explorer if it has not been done.
5. If everything has been done correctly, when you open Internet Explorer youcan access the Internet. If you have a wireless router and it is connected to the DSLor cable modem then -
To connect to yourwireless router, the router needs its wireless settings to be configuredwith the SSID, encryption key etc., also the wireless cards in all thelaptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.

Hello
Wow youve done almost everything here. How about the firewall? is it blocking any connections?

Next,Go to control panel, network and sharing center.Look and see if the pc or laptop in question is on the same network, meaning home or public.

Set all your machines to the same network.Either home or public.I do know this has been a win 7 problem.

How to find "wireless network security key"

1) visit http://192.168.0.1

2) login using the username "admin" and leaving password BLANK

3) Once logged in, click on the wireless tab and it should have your wireless keys listed.

(this must be done while connected, so if all your computers are wireless, and you dont have the key, you must hard wire one computer and use it to do this.)

Make sure you are connecting to your own internet connection through your wireless router and not on your neighbor's.....limited connectivity means you are out of reach or signal is blocked....

Does it say limited connection to network? You're connecting it through a wireless router right? Do you see your wireless router when you search for networks?
I had similar problem with my previous Dell laptop. Wireless use to work untill one day it just stopped, found the networks, but kept giving me limited connection whenever i tried to connect. I found out the problem is linked with the driver. Dell laptop i had was also on XP OS.
Maybe try reinstalling the drivers. After I formatted my computer and reinstalled drivers, it started working again.
Hope this helps.

Moderate problem

There's no way a USB can cause this problem...Its got nothing to do with network adapters unless internet connection uses a USB powered Wireless Network Adapter..
