E1 error on Danby is to clean or replace air filter. Check that filter is properly installed as that may also cause the error.

What is the problem for E1 and E2 Code

The E1 E2 flashing together (alternately) means that there is a loose sensor wire. The wire may have come loose during transportation to the store. The unit will need to be exchanged at the store where you purchased it or you will need to phone a service depot in your area to have it fixed. Contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-26-DANBY to locate your nearest service depot.

Hope this helps.

My Danby Air Conditioner is flashing E1

Shut off the airconditioner for half an hour and then try it on.
If you get the message, it can be that the fan motor or the compressor motor is not working.
Check to see if the capacitor of the fan or the compressor is bad and not letting it start up.
Sometimes if the fault has occurred while running then it can be voltage protection due to a surge.

I have a Danby Designer 8000BTU ac unit model# DAC8003D. The is a E1 flashing on the screen. How do I solve this?

Their manual says to clean the air filter. Unplug the unit (I suggest for aleast 1 full min.), and then plug back in. This is supposed to reset the unit.
http://www.danby.ca/cms/uploads/products/en_manual/DAC6003D%208003%209003%206300%208503%2010003%2012304.pdf
Check out this web site as it should show the manual for your unit.

good Luck

The screen is flashing E1

I was told the filter needs to be cleaned.
Turn the air conditioner OFF and unplug it.The air conditioner must be unplugged for the automatic filter clean timer to reset. Clean the filter. After cleaning, replace the filter and plug the air conditioner back in.
Hope this helps :)
