PC won't recognise videocam

-   I have a 2 month old HP 64-bit PC and after having purchased the SDR-H40 camcorder 2 weeks ago, I find that the software that panasonic provides is not compatible with a 64-bit system. Now what?

I have other video editing software that I can use but it seems the drivers for the camera are on the CD that panasonic provides. I can't even download the drivers for my PC to recognize the camera so I can edit the video on other software.

Any suggestions?

-   i plug in my usb lead and the pc doesnt seem to read the camcorder..its the firsttime that its happen in the pass it worked fine.. -   vladthelad

-   When trying to download my video content to the pc, I keep getting an error message saying that my camcorder is not connected.

-   Hi I have a sony hdr-hc7 bought from America, Australia has pal America NTSC format cannot get computer to recognise & come through computer cos id say the cd is ntsc I think I need some drivers for pal .. -   kaz222
