When playing any shooter game my right analog stick always looks up but the stick isnt upward and i took it apart the resembled it and it worked fine but after a few minutes it went back to looking upward whats wrong with it?

simple, get a replacement joystick module and install it on your psp. i did a couple. the psp really isnt that intimidating to take apart. compared to an xbox 360 or playstation

you need a new controller.

take the controller apart, and clean with wd-40, and a Q-tip.

I've had this problem, too. I tried taking it apart, but to no avail. I was very lucky to get it back together in a semi-working fashion.
It seems that the right analog stick gets used a lot more than the left. I play NHL 09... ALOT! And to shoot the puck, you need to slam the right stick back, then forward. So my controllers burn out rather quickly.
When I took it apart, I found that the analog sticks are sealed up units unto themselves. So if something burns out, it just gets replaced.
My recommendation is that you go to Wal Mart & buy a couple of new controllers, & try not to be so rough on them. ;)

Check the controls on the game's control section. If you play another game that uses the right analog control and it works on that game then it's the control set up for FIFA. Make sure that the analog control light is on when the game boots up. Sometimes if the analog control light is not on when you turn the game on and you turn it on afterwards, the analog stick controls don't work properly. That happened to me on NFS Pro Street. Your controller is most likely exhibiting a hardware failure. Taking apart the device voids your warranty. When a button does not work anymore, it is safe to say that you will need to buy a new controller.

The Logitech Chillstream Gamepad is only $20 and works in the same fashion as the XBOX 360 Controller (uses the same xb360 XInput controller driver too!)

YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT TO SHOP AND TELL THEM THEY WILL GIVE U ANEW ANOLOG AND THEY WILL FIT IT IN FOR U ITS THE ANOLOG OK AND CHILL OK TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND CHILL CALM IT ALWAYS HAPPENS TO ME WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG

This sounds like problem with the controller pad.

It could be left direction button is stuck down or the analog control has fault on it.

If you have two controllers try swapping them round otherwise try to clean the one you have. Maybe give it a very gentle tap to loosen and dirt inside it.

then it is a internal fault is it under warranty if so id take it back and try your analog stick on the replacement one then your see if it your machine or the analog ?

How about changing your controler settings, you can do this in the settings menu
