Maybe a loose screw, take your top plate off as well as the foot, check the feed dogs under make sure they are moving when you turn your hand wheel, with the power cord unplugged, dont want any sewed fingers

I have a White Jeans Machine model 4075. All of a sudden the stitches became very small and if appears the feed is not moving along on in its own.

check the forward/ reverse setting as it indicates that it is around the middle of the setting instead of full forward or reverse

Bernina 350 buttonhole - when I hit the reverse button, the machine just keeps stitching backwards. It doesn't stop to do the tck and then go forward again.

Here's a video:

It looks like the Reverse button just needs to be "tapped." On my machine, if I hold the Reverse button too long, it turns into a continuous reverse until I deactivate it.

Bernina 350 16 Buttonholes

If it still won't make buttonholes, you should take it for service. On machines that have the "eye" on the presser foot, the machine needs to be calibrated to use the buttonhole presser foot. Be sure to take the presser foot when having the machine serviced.

Raise and lower the feed dogs

the feed dogs are the saw toothed piece under the press foot
they go down move forward raise up move back in time with the needle to pull the material through for the next stitch
the amount of movement ( stitch length) is set by the position of the forward and reverse lever/ knob

My machien is pulling the fabric forward instead back

check the position of the feed foot lever / button/knob
if it is in the correct feed direction the have it serviced as it may not be connected properly inside the machine.

Adjust machine

The waling foot sewing machine attachments I am familiar with don't exactly walk. They have a presser foot that glide over the cloth like every other presser foot. In addition they have feed dogs that work in unison with the feed dogs built in the machine. When the needle penetrates the material, the lower dogs drop and come forward and the upper dogs raise and come forward. As the needle exits the cloth, the lower dogs rise and pull the cloth while the upper dogs drop and pull the cloth. The arm on the attachment that operates the upper dogs rides on the screw that holds the needle. There is nothing to adjust.

Hello. I hope u can help me. I cannot get my stitching tight? If I pull the thread it comes right out. Thanks Jodie

You need to backstitch over the beginning and end of your stitching, Jodie. When you start out, manually turn the wheel to put the needle into the fabric. Push the foot pedal to stitch forward a little. Now, reverse over those stitches to nearly where you started stitching. Use the foot pedal to go forward again, stitch to where you want to end. Reverse again, just a 1/4 inch or so. Then take the fabric out and cut your stitching.

This backstitching keeps your thread from pulling straight out. You should always use it with straight stitches and general zigzag stitches. Don't use it with decorative or embroidery stitches, though, as it mars the appearance of them. But if you're doing any type of topstitching that uses straight stitches, backstitch in the area that will be in the seam allowance, ever so slightly, or your top stitching will pull out, too.

Hope that helps!
