After replacing the battery from the car, the radio is requesting me to enter a code. But since it is a second hand car, I do not have this code. The make of the car is: 2005 Ford Focus Ghia.

It probably needs to have the code re entered into it.

Unfortunitly that radio requires a code that you enter thru the presets normally 4 to 6 numbers found in the original hand book that came with the car if not available youll need to contact the dealer an request code forradio an you will need the registration for car to prove it is your car might have to register it with the dealership be carefull not to put wrong code in more than 4 times it will be permanantly damaged due to antitheft feature built in to radio

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Citroen service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

Simple contact you local Jag dealership and ask them, they will need the VIN No and there is a small charge (about £8). Then follow the instructions on http://www.bluejag.co.uk to enter code.

i have a 2004 jaguar x-type and i replaced my battery and the radio is locked and i dont know the code. i bout the car second hand and the code that the dealership has isnt working. what can i do to get the radio unlocked?

Use the first four radio station preset buttons to enter the code.

1: Push radio preset#1 until first digit of your code appears.
2: Push radio preset#2 until second digit of your code appears.
3: Push radio preset#3 until third digit of your code appears.
4: Push radio preset#4 until fourth digit of your code appears.
5: Push either tape or cd button.

What to do if your radio says OFF instead of CODE

If your radio says OFF it means you entered the wrong radio code three times. To get it to say CODE again do the following.

1:Turn the key to on or accessory.
2:Push the power button so that the radio display says OFF.
3:Let the car sit for 1 hour.
4:The radio display will go blank.
5:Turn the radio on and it will say CODE again.

You need to code ..punch in code then power radio up and it will work. For a fee if its the original radio for this car the code can be retrieved by the dealer. If you entered to code incorrectly more than 4 times you will need to disconnect battery for 30 second and re-enter code. good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

Press and hold SCAN and RDS. 1000 will appear and you can enter your code using the station buttons 1-4 to set the digits.

Not sure? If it is the wrong code it shouldn't work at all? Try leaving the radio on for an hour without doing anything and then re-enter the code. If that doesn't work, contact your nearest Honda dealer.
