I have a Hohner Golden Melody, key of C, which is a great harmonica. I took it apart as one of the holes was plugged up, and I have not re-assembled it correctly. It looks o.k. but will only play on the draw notes. Could you send me a diagram so I can see where I've gone wrong? I fooled with this issue about an hour and can't seem to rectify it. Thanks, Don

The blow reed plate is backwards... either upside down or facing the wrong way. The open end of the reeds needs to be opposite to the draw reeds.

Hi Have recently purchased a Honer 280 /64

These harminicas are warranteed and rarely have problems. Either return it to the place of purchase for an exchange or contact Hohner directly. My experience with this company is that they are eager to make things right.

How old is the harmonica? They wear out over the years. A Guy that I know that plays blues harp replaces his every 4-6 months.

Hohner 12 hole Chromatic, Super Chromonica. A # is " flat."

You can take it apart by removing the two screws, see if any of the reels seem blocked or obstructed by dirt, bits of dust, oxydation (greenish crystalline stuff) or similar, try to remove the stuff that seems to obstruct the reel with a medium hardness paintbrush (you might want to use some alcohol), but be very careful not to permanently bend or otherwise damage the reels, it will ruin the sound of the harmonica.
