Question about Refrigerators
HI I HAVE A DAEWOO FRS-U20DAI SIDE BY SIDE REFRIGERATOR THE HAS AN ICE CUBE DISAPENSER. THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN THE TRAY TURNS IT WILL NOT RELEASE THE ICE CUBES SO THE TRAY KEEPS FILLING WITH MORE WATER UNTIL IN THE END WHEN ITS FULL I END UP WITH WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR.
IS THERE SOMETHING TO PUT IN THE CUBE TRAY TO STOP THEM STICKING

Heavy Frost on the Coils
This is good! This indicates a defrosting system failure which is a simple control problem. It also means that the sealed system (compressor, evaporator coil, and all associated tubing) is fine as wine in summertime. Defrost system problems are easy fixes that anyone with a pulse can do with maybe just a little help from their friends. The problem will either be the defrost timer (or Adaptive Defrost Control board, if so equipped), the defrost thermostat, or the defrost heater. To locate these parts in your fridge, check out these cool, interactive parts diagrams.

The ice maker system is pretty simple.. A motor rotates with a gear reduction system and as it rotates... a switch is tripped when the motor reaches a certain point on its rotation... that switch lets water in for a prescribed period of time ( normally that is adjustable) and then as the motor rotates some more.. the ice tray has had adequate time for that ice to freeze and is positioned for it to be released,..at that time.. a small heating element is energized to release those ice cubes and the cubes fall from the tray into the bucket.. Chances are your heater is not working, unplugged or defective.. I would start by thawing everything out and getting the system free of any and all ice.. If after you've cleaned it all up.. and it still fails to release ice..you could be over-filling your tray and that freezes .. which in turn causes the system to fail too..You may need to adjust the fill level by throttle back on the water or if your system has a fill level control.. adjust that.. but first things first.. get the system back to a known good state.. ( meaning free from all ice ) so that you can monitor its performance,. Hope that helps...

The icemaker use an avaporator system with an heatinc coil and a fan to release cubes.
In your case either the heating coil or the fan in the icemaker must be replaced.
parts can be purchased from partselect.com.

Sounds like it has a " seeping " water valve . Only thing to do is replace the water inlet valve . There is a certain amount of water to go into icemaker at fill . A seeping valve will let water continually drip into icemaker , making large cubes which icemaker cannot dump . A larger amount of seeping , will overfill the icemaker , and drip into the freezer and floor .
