Question about Panasonic KX-T7453 Corded Phone
I have a KX-T7453 and I cannot get to the caller id information. I do have
the caller id feature with the telephone company. When I read the manual (page 22) it said to press the shift button to get to the second screen. The second screen displayed on page 22 lists OLD NEW but my two screen options are STA EXT FEAT or CONT RING BGM. HELP!!! I hate this phone!
Does CID work on ANY phone in the system? The reason I ask is because prior to issue 7, a Caller ID card had to be inserted into the trunk card. If yours is older, it may not have the card.

I have this same system and it looks like half the phones work with CID and the other half do not. I don't understand what the deal is.

This feature lets you know who is calling
without looking at the display.
To use this feature, you must:
- subscribe to a Caller ID service of
your service provider/telephone
- turn this feature on (page 24).
When caller information is received, the
handsets and base unit announce the
caller's name or phone number received
from your service provider/telephone
company following every ring.
The unit announces in English only.
L Name pronunciation may vary. This
feature may not pronounce all names
L Caller ID service has a limit of how
many characters can be displayed. If
the caller's name is too long, the
handset may not be able to display or
announce the entire name.
L The announcement is heard at the
same level as the ringer volume (page
L If you turn on the answering system
and set the number of rings "2
rings" (page 36), the unit does not
announce the caller information. If
"Toll saver" is selected and there
is a new message, the unit does not
announce the caller information.
