Ok so ive never really had any serious problems with my sansa but i cant get it to connect to the computer, my laptop wont register that its connected anymore even though my desktop will... and i checked the status of the usb driver and they're operating fine... my camera will connect but my mp3 wont.. anyone know why this might be happening?

To obtain the driver for your sandisk device go to http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your computer...it should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you.. After installation connect your sansa...... Also make sure you are connected to a 2.0 usb the back of the computer is best (the motherboard)....
mode located on the sansa if asked to change to MSC goto menu press
enter scroll to settings press enter scroll to usb mode press enter
scroll to msc press enter press menu.....Connect should auto start sansa

Not Recognized: Try connecting it to the back of your computer or another computer the back straight
to the motherboard this should be USB 2.0 and see if it will recognize
it as sansa or Drive/removable drive. if it does then download the sansa
and install it. Make sure you disconnect the sansa and connect it when
asked. This will update your sansas firmware and add the Usb Mode. Try
to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize.... link for
download to a flash drive much easier. Make sure USB mode is MSC Recovery Mode may also allow your computer to recognize the sansa lock
your sansa hold in the rec key on the left at the same time push the
menu/power button this will take you to recovery mode then connect to
the computer Start the update software when finished disconnect.... Sync to upload songs to the sansa......Hope this works
see if thers a firmware update for it do windows update run ccleaner tool get out junk in computer may clog it up go to ther web site and download ther latest software and updates cheak for firmware updates ok uuiseing usb 2.0 ports also
