I have a Zonet Router that I am hooking up to Comcast DSL internet. i show that i am connected but i can not get online. i duplicated the MAC address i just dont know what else can be wrong. is there a...

The first thing is that Comcast is Not a DSL connection it is Cable connection. Now first make sure that your computer will be able to go on line when connected directly to the modem. Connect your main computer directly to the comcast modem and check if that goes on line. If not then you will need to contact Comcast and get main computer on line. If it is online then reset your router for 30 seconds. release the reset and wait for 1 minute. Now connect the main computer to the router and comcast modem to the router. open the set up page and Clone the MAC address of the " Main " computer.
power cycle the modem and the router. See if it works.

Belkin G Router cant hook up 2nd computer HELP

Get the same friend back out LOL :-)

First of all, look at the IP address the first computer has. That's done by pressing the Window symbol and "R". It opens up a box and you type CMD on the line and press OK. It opens up a new window and you type the command IPCONFIG and press enter. It will spit out a bunch of numbers, but the only 2 that matter is the first line telling you what address the PC has and the 3rd line telling you what the address of the Gateway is. Generally the Gateway is in the form of
That's the Belkin default but it may be something different. Now, the real question is what happens when you try to connect to the network from the new computer. Does it show your wireless network and is it secure? If it is, you're going to have to find the password. When you try to connect to the secure network, it will ask for a WEP or WPA key.

Go to the working computer, open Internet Explorer, and on the address bar type or whatever gateway address you got above. It will open up a new box with LOGIN in the upper right corner. If your "friend" didn't set a password, you'll get right in. If he did, remember the first line.

Outside of that, finding the security key should be easy enough to follow if you open this tutorial

A WEP key is 10 or 26 hexidecimal characters (0-9, A-F) not case sensitive. A WPA key can be anything from 8-63 characters and it is case sensitive so MyKey is different from mykey or any other variation.

Your last resort is to reset the router, especially if it's a DSL. You will have to do a lot of extra programming and it usually requires the original paperwork for addresses, login, and password to the inernet to set up.

NEtgear RP614 cannot connect after a electricity shortage in our home :(

How is it not working? You get limited or no connectivity or it isn't functioning at all. Firstly, let's do a power cycle. Push the reset button for 5 seconds, unplug for 45 seconds, and reset 5 seconds, and unplug for 45 seconds. If that doesn't work try a hard reset. Alright, it's time to do a hard reset, this will rest all your passwords, Take a Pen or a pin, push the pin the the reset hole for 45 seconds, Uplug the modem for 1 minute, reset hole for 30 seconds, unplug for 30 seconds, and it should be hard resetted also power cycle.
