I think your memory is loose or damaged. Try cleaning it with an eraser and brush it with a clean paint brush then reinstall it in your PC. Test run it.

How do I get into safemode on my acer aspire desktop

1 Restart the Acer Aspire netbook by pressing the "power" button on the netbook's keyboard or by pressing the "CTRL," "ALT" and "DEL" keys at the same time. 2 During startup, hold down the "F8" function key immediately when you see the "Acer" splash screen and the option for entering "Setup." 3 Keep pressing the "F8" key until the "Advanced Boot Options" menu appears. If you receive a "keyboard error," restart the Acer Aspire and repeat step 2. 4 Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Safe Mode" selection on the "Advanced Boot Options" menu. The arrow keys are located on the right-hand side of the Acer Aspire keyboard. 5 Press the "Enter" key to execute the "Safe Mode" selection. The Windows operating system will now start in "Safe Mode" and you can perform a system restore or make needed changes to get your Acer Aspire to boot normally again. HI

it seems that there is some static electricity stored in the computer..........do you leave the computer turned on 24/7?

anyways...here is the fix...

turn off the computer(make sure there are no lights on the keyboard)

disconnect all the cables(including the power cable)

press and hold down the power button for 30 to 40 seconds and release it.

plug in all the cables

turn on the computer

this should work(this releases the static which is stored in the computer)

to avoid this make sure the computer is off when its not in use.....

if that doesnt work you try reseating the hard drive

or you can try to enter to bios to test the functionality of the hard drive

tap f10 or f2 key as soon as you turn on the computer

keep tapping it till you see a screen

press NO if you are asked to choose yes/no

look for advanced>>primary hard disk self test>>run the quick and comprehensive test to check the functionality

if you are able to enter into bios(hardware is fine)

try to go to SAFE MODE by tapping F8(ADVANCED BOOT OPTIONS)

SAFE MODE>>START>>RUN>>MSCONFIG>>START UP>>DISABLE START UP ITEMS>>APPLY>>OK>>

RESTART THE COMPUTER

this should work

please have some patience and try doing this your computer should work

have a good day

My Acer Aspire M1201 Desktop will not boot. I turn the power on but all I get is the Acer logo followed by "No Signal" and the monitor goes blank. I keep hoping I will finally hear the beep noise...

Hi,

If you are seeing the Acer logo on boot up then the machine is working. The problem will be your graphics drivers being corrupt.
Try starting the machine in Safe Mode. To do this repeatedly tap the F8 key as it's just starting up. It should take you to an advanced menu with Safe Mode at the top, select that with the cursor keys.

If it allows you to boot in safe mode then wait until Windows loads and then right click on My Computer/Computer, select manage from the sub menu and then Device Manager.

Click on Display Adapters and uninstall the drivers. When its done unistalling the drivers restart the machine in normal mode. It should boot into Windows. If it lets you boot into Windows I suggest that you download and install the latest drivers from Acer's support website.

If you need anymore help please post back.

Good luck and regards.

My srceen goes Blank

Hi,

first try booting the laptop and pressing the Fn key with the numerical ( numbered key ) that has a picture of 2 screens on it. This is for booting to an external monitor. you could also try adding an external ( pc monitor ) this will eliminate any motherboard Faults.

Secondly, the graphics chip driver may be corrupt or not installed correctly. if you have a restore cd, you could try booting the laptop, with the cd in the drive.

you can then try, to see if the settings in the bios are all correct, by booting/starting the laptop and pressing esc or F2 or delete immediately as the laptop starts. ** Be-Careful** what you adjust.
My suggestion is to look for. ** default settings tab** or load setup defaults.

these are the obvious things to try, before assuming that you have a faulty graphics chip or motherboard fault.
